Newcastle are growing increasingly concerned at the prospect of losing Bruno Guimaraes to Man City this month, and regard the PL champions as a much likelier destination for the midfielder than either Arsenal or PSG.
Pep Guardiola on Bernardo Silva’s future: “There are many rumours in the press on Bernardo but no one has called us so far… We’ve received no calls from Barça or any other club… He’s a wonderful player, I hope he’s going stay with us at Man City.”
Pep Guardiola on Joao Cancelo: “A solution will be found that’s best for everyone. He's Man City's player and, if an agreement isn’t reached, he will return in pre-season. If he wants to stay at Barcelona, and the clubs agree, a loan will be sought again.”
Julian Alvarez on recent transfer rumours: “These are things that are said, but I am calm; I am comfortable and happy at Man City; we will see what happens.”
Man City are unlikely to activate Bruno Guimaraes’ £100M release clause, despite the midfielder featuring high on their transfer wish list.
Julian Alvarez has been open to a move away from Man City for several months, although his first-choice destination - Real Madrid - is not going to happen this summer, at least.
Noel Gallagher: “If Man City hadn’t been bought by Sheikh Mansour, it would have been takeover after takeover, all sorts of fuckwits coming in, failure and broken promises.”
Noel Gallagher: “When people ask, ‘Would today’s Man City beat [Sir Alex] Ferguson’s United side?’, the answer is, ‘Yes, I’ve seen the evidence’. We would have annihilated them. And Liverpool would have fucking annihilated them, too.”
Noel Gallagher on Pep Guardiola: “I speak to him quite a bit and he’s never given me any inkling he’s not 1,000% happy living in Manchester... He sends me texts and leaves voice notes about how much he loves Man City. He’s one of us, believe me.”
