The second half of the prize was awarded to Giorgio Parisi (73) for “the discovery of the interplay of disorder and fluctuations in physical systems from atomic to planetary scales.”

Tanzanian novelist Abdulrazak Gurnah, won the 2021 Nobel Prize in Literature ‘for his uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee,’

Abdulrazak Gurnah was born in 1948 on the island of Zanzibar, Africa. He emigrated to Britain as a student at the age of 20, and went on to become Professor and Director of Graduate studies at the University of Kent's Department of English after pursuing a PHD there at the age of 34.

India and the UK kickstarted a two-week military exercise "Ajeya Warrior" at Chaubatia in Uttarakhand to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries, the Indian Army said on Thursday.

✓ According to European Medicines Agency, Mosquirix is a vaccine that is given to children aged 6 weeks to 17 months to help protect against malaria. It also helps protect against infection of the liver with the hepatitis B virus.
