What if this battle isn’t about waiting for our fellow Americans to finally “wake up?”
What if this is about those of us who CAN see the destruction asking God to forgive those who can’t?
If we all prayed for God to forgive our so-called enemies, for not knowing what they do…could THAT be what we are waiting for?
Perhaps the answer does not lie in everyone finding out the truth, but rather half of us forgiving the other for not finding it.
If so:
Father please forgive them, for they know not what they do. We know we cannot open their eyes to the truth; only You can. Forgive us also, for stepping in, for trying to be You.

Before 1973, the National Park Service used cut trees as National Christmas trees. But since then, the National Christmas tree has always been planted rather than cutting down a new tree each year
- The last tree planted was in October 2021 after the previous tree got a fungal disease
- The October 2021 tree had to be removed last month due to another fungal disease
- The replaced tree is the one that toppled last week (they must not have planted it)
- The last time the National tree fell, was back in 2011 when Barack Obama was president
- It also was toppled and had to be replaced back in 1978 - when Jimmy Carter was president
Oh the irony
