WALTER RUSSELL GETS SCIENTIFIC CREDIT

The Gale Encyclopedia of Science (4th edition, 2008, page 4444) gives credit to Walter Russell for the discovery of Tritium. However, it failed to note that Dr. Russell had originally named it BEBEGEN. His discovery of Bebegen (aka Tritium) was in 1921 during his 39 day awakening and he later published this discovery in 1926.

PAGE 4444 EXCERPT:

“Historically, Walter Russell (1871–1963) predicted tritium in the late 1920s. Then, in the early 1930s, New Zealand-British nuclear physicist Ernest Rutherford (1871–1937), the First Baron Rutherford of Nelson, produced tritium from deuterium, another isotope of hydrogen. Then, Spanish-American physicist Luis Walter Alverez (1911–88) isolated tritium, and found that it was radioactive. American chemist Willard Frank Libby (1908–80) discovered that it could be used to determine the age of water.”

Description: Walter Russell, a sculptor and philosopher spoke at Fort Worth, Texas on June 18, 1946. Mr. Russell visited the Botanic Gardens and remarked of the beautiful environment. He spoke on "Intimate Sketches of Famous People" and pointed out the philosophies that made people like Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Roosevelt, Thomas Edison, and other great men. He is giving a series of lectures in key cities across the U.S. on "The New Age Philosophy." Mr. Russell is sitting in an armchair. He is wearing a suit with a flower pinned to the lapel.

The bust was ordered by the late John W. Lieb, vice president of the New York Edison Co. and was completed after his death. It will be exhibited with other portraits and studies by Mr. Russell at the 56th St. Galleries from January 13th to 26th, 1932.
