​💫 Hello, Magic Beasties family,

As you all know, the last few months have been very tough for our project. First the war in Ukraine (where our founder is located), then we had part of our budget stolen, and then the entire crypto-market began to fall. But despite all these challenges, we never stopped working on the project! The original team continues to work hard no matter what. And to make sure we can give the best game experience to all users, we decided to announce our new plans for updates and timings.

Our team's main goal is to create a real and working product, not empty promises. That's why we decided to drop (or postpone) some unrealizable ideas. The new roadmap contains all the necessary updates from Houses to PvP, but it doesn't stop there. We clearly see and understand the future of our project, we know how to develop it and how to grow it. We are convinced that this project will live and develop for many years.

In order for our players to receive regular updates and not lose interest in the project and in order to attract new players, we decided to divide the Beta version updates into several stages and called them "Chapters". Each Chapter has its own goal, its own targets, its own marketing potential, and its own time frame. So you can be sure that our project will be developed and will grow smoothly.

This will be the last change to the roadmap and it will not be changed again. So now you can relax and watch us deliver each milestone just in time (or even earlier).

We have precisely calculated the needed time for each updates and take into account not only the required development time, budget and manpower but also the cycles of markets, so that we can all be ready to ride a Beasties Rocket again when the crypto market starts to rise 🚀

Today we present you a new version of the Cookies Lucky Wheel in the Witch House. Now you can get a unique off-chain item "Magic Ticket", which you can further exchange for the talismans of the new rarity!

You will need 🎟 5 Magic Tickets to get new uncommon talisman! The number of tickets is limited and cannot exceed 500!

Just the wheel? No, this update is far from as small as it seems! In fact, it carries a lot of necessary changes:

1. First, we introduce players to the concept of new off-chain items. (which are the new tickets). In the future, you'll even be able to trade these off-chain items on a special marketplace!

2. We're smoothly immersing players into the world with new mechanics, one of which will be a "talisman merge". You can read more about the new mechanics in our documentation here 👉 https://docs.beasties.online/talismans/talismans-merging

3. Last but not least, we're reviving interest in the wheel. To make sure our players don't get bored with it, we will keep updating it! In this update we have added not only a Magic Ticket, but also a new field "x0.5". With the new "x0.5" field, the total RTP is still above 90%, which means that players will now hit the "lose" field less often! 🤑🔥

Potions Rework

Finally, our potions will be what they were originally meant to be — a consumable that helps your Beasties defeat the difficulties in dungeons!

The main role in our game is played by Beasties, so the new potions do not have their own stats, they only improve the stats of your Beasties. We completely redesigned the mechanism for using potions. We also took care of those potions that you already have, so you can exchange them for new ones. For now the potions just have a percentage boost, but later on the new potions will also have other passive effects such as "reduce time in dungeon" etc.

How to get new Off-Chain Potions?

1. Transfer from Drop-Vault
You can exchange all the potions that are currently in the Drop Vault for new ones that get good stats and you can use them in dungeons! To do this, go to the Drop Vault and click on the Transfer Potions to Items button.
Stats: +5-20% to random stat

2. Transfer from On-Chain (minted) Potions
Have you already mint potions or bought them at the market? We took care of you! You can exchange them for new potions by going to Inventory > On-chain items > Potions and clicking on Transfer Potions to Items button. (*Transfers are done in batches of no more than 20 items to avoid large commissions)
Stats: +10-40% to random stat

3. Drop in Dungeons
Stats:
Dungeons 1-4: +5-20% to random stat
Dungeons 5-6: +15-30% to random stat
Dungeons 7-10: +20-40% to random stat

Hello friends, today we want to share with you a little software utility tool we found recently.
scc is a very fast accurate code counter with complexity calculations and COCOMO estimates. This program allows us to demonstrate how much effort has been invested in the development of our project.

For example, we'll look at the statistics for just the backend and frontend. We will not count statistics for blockchain watchers, smart contracts, analytical tools and dev ops technologies.

Beasties Avatars is a unique collection of NFTs. Each avatar will be unique! These NFTs can be used as profile pictures in the game. They will also have different rarities, rare avatars will give bonuses both for PvE now and for PvP in the future.
