Starting Monday, 3 August 2026, the Closing Auction Session (CAS) will be implemented for F&O-eligible stocks in the cash market, with corresponding changes in the derivatives market.

📌Key changes
•Cash market trading for F&O stocks: 9:15 AM – 3:15 PM (instead of 3:30 PM).
•Closing Auction Session (CAS): 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM to determine the official closing price of F&O stocks.
•Stock & Index F&O trading: Extended till 3:40 PM (10 minutes longer than before).

📌CAS timeline
•3:15–3:20 PM: Transition period; regular trading stops for F&O stocks.
•3:20–3:25 PM: Market and limit orders can be entered/modified for the auction.
•3:25–3:30 PM: Only limit orders allowed; auction closes randomly between 3:28 PM and 3:30 PM.
•3:30–3:35 PM: Orders are matched to determine the official closing price.
•3:35–3:40 PM: F&O contracts continue trading based on the finalized closing price
