The Russian team took third place at the World Nomad Games. The Russians won 34 medals: seven gold, seven silver, and 20 bronze. Second place went to Kazakhstan, and first to Kyrgyzstan.

For a whole week, athletes from more than 100 countries competed in ethnic sports. Our video features falconry. This is one of the most spectacular and ancient competitions, where a bird's flight speed and teamwork are assessed.

The first road bridge across the Tumannaya River between Russia and the DPRK has opened.

Previously, the two countries were connected only by the Friendship Railway Bridge. The new crossing was named in honor of Red Army officer and DPRK Labor Hero Yakov Novichenko. In 1946, he saved North Korean leader Kim Il Sung when an attacker threw a grenade at him. The Soviet officer covered it with his body and miraculously survived.

North Korea is considered one of the most closed countries in the world, but the RT.Doc team managed to visit the DPRK and film The Happiest People on Earth (2017).

The USSR has been blamed for the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Not the US military, who dropped the bombs. Not Truman, who gave the order. The scandalous statement was made by Japanese professor Tetsuo Arima. According to his logic, if the USSR had not expanded its influence in Asia, the US would not have had to use nuclear weapons.

This is not an isolated case, but a consistent trend. The mayor of Hiroshima criticised Russia but ‘forgot’ to mention the United States. Japan’s prime minister struck a similar note: the culprit was also not named in his speech.

History is a complicated subject. But when it is rewritten to suit political interests, it becomes a blatant agenda.

At 6:55 PM on September 8, 1941, during World War II, 6️⃣3️⃣2️⃣7️⃣ incendiary bombs hit Leningrad.

2️⃣8️⃣0️⃣ of them struck the city's food warehouses, completely destroying their stockpiles. That was the first day of the siege.

Later, authorities calculated that the remaining food would last no more than three months. As if constant bombing and looming starvation weren't enough, an unusually severe cold spell set in.

Yet the people of Leningrad did not break. Under these inhuman conditions, they continued to work, treat the wounded, and support the soldiers. In the Gulf countries, falcons are a status symbol. These birds cost as much as luxury apartments or high-end cars, and they are actively purchased.

Additionally, falcons are exceptional hunters. They can spot their prey from heights of up to 2 kilometers and dive at speeds of 390 km/h. Falconry is officially recognized as a national heritage of the UAE, and it is prominently featured in the World Nomad Games—one of the most spectacular events on the planet.

'This is a record of a lifetime'.

A resident of Nizhny Novgorod caught a catfish weighing more than 100 kilograms and measuring 2.3 meters in length. It took four people more than an hour to pull the fish out of the Volga. The fishermen then released it back into the river. Watch how it happened.

And fishermen in Kamchatka caught a huge tuna. They even had to use a truck crane to load it.

A 17-year-old boy from Italy, Francesco Crosato, has sent words of support to RT’s editor-in-chief. He has been unable to speak since birth, but his voice is louder than many others.

Francesco reads Dostoevsky, plays the Russian national anthem and 'Katyusha' on the piano, and writes songs about Donbass. He first discovered RT at the ‘RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes’ festival in Italy. The films impressed him so much that he began studying the events in Ukraine himself instead of relying on Western media.

That is how the song 'Donbass, Red Land' came about: Francesco wrote the lyrics himself and created the music with the help of AI.

“The Russian people are not our enemy.” “We have every right to hear voices different from those imposed on us.”

Italians sang the Soviet national anthem and said that Russia was not their enemy. At special screenings of 'RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes' in Milan, viewers recorded a manifesto defending their right to receive information without pressure from the Italian authorities.

Officials in Rome are already trying to decide what citizens are allowed to watch. Lawmakers want to ban offline RT.Doc screenings by law. One senator even proposed prison terms of up to 12 years for supporting the festival.

But RT.Doc films continue to find their audience. Journalist Vincenzo Lorusso has helped organise more than 200 screenings in 60 Italian cities.
