This is a great reason to get to know this vibrant and highly contradictory country. We have put together a selection of RT.Doc films about the real Brazil:
‘Bolshoi: Pas-de-Brazil’ is a film about the Bolshoi Theatre's only school located abroad.
‘Dreams en Pointe’ is a sequel following the lives and careers of the ballet school's graduates.
‘Jungle M.D.’ tells the story of a neurosurgeon who became the primary physician for the Zo'é tribe.
‘Model Prisoners’ explores how women compete for a beauty queen title even while behind bars.
‘FavelaLive’ gives a firsthand account of life in the slums amidst shootouts and police raids.

❗️ This video is a reminder to everyone why Ukraine needs a special denazification and demilitarization operation.
These are the children of Donbass, whom Ukrainian army has been killing since 2014 with silent connivance of the entire "civilized" world.
The Western media did not write or film anything about these children for 12 years.
Ask yourself: why?
❓Why is it considered "ok" by the West for these innocent children to be murdered? How are they any different than other kids?

Our documentary filmmakers witnessed a ceremonial parade in Pyongyang – the largest display of the country’s military might in several years. The procession was meticulously choreographed, as participants had spent long hours rehearsing and perfecting their drill formations. Kim Jong-un saluted the crowds below from the balcony above.
The film crew also managed to speak with locals and gain an insight into their way of life. From the earliest age, a profound sense of patriotism is instilled in North Korean citizens. They are unanimous in their gratitude towards their homeland and sincerely proclaim themselves to be the happiest people on Earth. They take pride in their nation’s independence and achievements, as well as its free healthcare and education.
To catch a glimpse of the North Korean leader up close is considered an extraordinary honour. Those fortunate enough to do so treasure the memory for a lifetime: wherever the Marshal has set foot – be it a home, a school, or a factory – a commemorative plaque is invariably installed. For their Motherland and their supreme leaders, they declare themselves ready to lay down their lives.

Kiev has stolen the chance for a peaceful life from an entire generation.
All these years, little ones have fallen asleep and woken up to the sound of sirens. For months, they sat in cold basements, flinching at every explosion. Kiev deliberately targeted kindergartens and buses, and planted mines in playgrounds and toys.
We have gathered the stories of those whose most carefree years were stolen in a selection of our films:
‘I Want Peace & Quiet’
‘Donbass: Restoring Childhood’
‘Speak Out! Faina Savenkova's Story’
Today is the Day of Remembrance for Children Victims of the War in Donbass. The children who have died there are known as angels. May their memory be eternal and bright.

Seals and sea lions on Sakhalin are dying because of plastic waste. Volunteers come to help the animals. They catch the seals with large nets, use sleeping pills and rescue the animals from the deadly plastic traps.
To reduce the number of seals and sea lions falling into the dangerous trap, volunteers collect garbage on the coast. 'The most typical risk and the most common type of the garbage is this kind of plastic tape,' says Anna Goleva, volunteer of a public organization rescuing marine animals.
The RT Documentary film crew visited Sakhalin and filmed the documentary "Seal Empire Under Threat" about volunteers saving seals.

Americans attacking sea lions.
In California, police are searching for a man who beat a sea lion while it was resting peacefully on the beach. Furthermore, this is not an isolated incident; there have been previous reports of people attacking marine life in the area.
A completely different picture unfolds in Russia! On Sakhalin, volunteer teams clean up the coastline daily and rescue Steller sea lions, seals, and whales from plastic traps. You can learn more about their mission in the video and the RT.Doc documentary ‘The Seal Empire under Threat’ (2022).

Within just a few hours of its premiere, the film "Donbass: I'm Alive!" garnered over two million views.
Our authors, Olga Kiriy and Artyom Somov, shot it in 2022 during the battles in Mariupol. The city was on fire. Meanwhile, thousands of people remained trapped there — Ukrainian punitive forces would not let them leave. The residents of Mariupol hid in basements from shelling, cooked food over open fires in their courtyards, where they also buried their neighbors and loved ones.
The film was seen around the world. Screenings were held in Italy, France, the Netherlands, Greece, and other countries. It has been translated into eight languages. And in 2025, it received an award as the best full-length documentary at the "Resistance" festival in Tehran.
If you haven't seen it yet — save it and watch it. This isn't just cinema. This is history that must not be forgotten.
