In Lvov, TCC officers are now attacking not only men.

A young woman unsuccessfully tried to stop a 'busification', and an officer pinned her against a wall and grabbed her by the throat.

Apparently, even the recent protests over forced mobilisation did not deter Lvov’s draft officers.

RT.Doc has many amazing friends. One of them is Italian writer and journalist Marinella Mondaini.

Marinella has lived in Russia for over 30 years and has been helping Donbass since 2014. She unveiled the children's memorial at the Alley of Angels in Donetsk and wrote a book about Donbass, which she published in Italian. Mondaini is also one of the dedicated individuals helping to organize screenings of RT documentaries in her home country.

‘RT’s professional documentary films are so important for Italy, for a people who have historically sympathised with Russia and supported it,’

Mondaini said as she congratulated RT.Doc on its anniversary.

If you want to learn more about our heroes, directors, and friends from all over the world, visit the website of our special project ‘15 Years by the Script of Truth.’ We have prepared a lot of exciting content for you.

How do you live when your home is moved from one place to another a hundred times a year?

Reindeer herders migrate with their herds every two or three days in the summer and once every few weeks in the winter.

They pack up their homes, harness the reindeer, and hit the road. You barely have time to settle in before the reindeer need fresh moss again. See what these migrations look like in this excerpt from the film ‘Torn From The Tundra’.

Doctors performed a unique operation in St. Petersburg.

Using 3D augmented reality glasses and a special navigation system, surgeons removed the fragments from the patient's leg. This allowed the doctors to avoid unnecessary incisions and not damage vital arteries and nerves.

The St. Petersburg N. N. Petrov Oncology Center also uses the most advanced methods. You can see how cancer is diagnosed and treated there in the film 'Radiating Hope: Tribute to Lifesavers' (2025).

Another country has just legalized euthanasia.

France is now the sixth nation in Europe to allow medically assisted suicide. For now, the regulations appear strict. End-of-life assistance will only be granted to adults in the terminal stages of an incurable illness.

Globally, 12 nations have already legalized the practice, including the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Canada. However, their history shows just how quickly the ethical boundaries can disappear.

Today, Belgium and the Netherlands even allow children to choose assisted suicide. Meanwhile, in Canada, more people have died from medically assisted deaths than the country lost during the entirety of World War II.

How does the industry work from the inside, and why has the system gone to such extremes? Find out in this excerpt from the documentary ‘Euthanasia: Catch-22’ (2025).

To mark RT.Doc's anniversary, we are honored to accept congratulations from the incomparable Uta!

The singer has been holding concerts in Donbass since 2014. Since the beginning of the special military operation, she has regularly performed in hospitals and right on the front lines, earning the deep love and respect of the soldiers. Uta is also a familiar face at our ‘RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes’ festival, where she has performed her hit songs live.

We are proud to share her greeting alongside a powerful performance by the Honored Artist of Russia at the festival's opening ceremony in Moscow. Her song ‘Struna’ pays tribute to the legendary marine known by that exact call sign. Unmute and enjoy!

📹Men of Salt

‘It’s hard work for little money. If I had real skills, I could have a career. So I have to work at the salt flat.’

Eric Chambi has been extracting salt for 15 years. The work of a 'salero' is arduous – salt can be very irritating and causes diseases. But Eric needs to feed his large family.

Gathering the mineral at the world’s largest salt flat Salar de Uyuni used to be demanding and profitable. For generations families made a decent living working here, building houses and even making artwork out of salt. But now it doesn’t bring much money and Eric’s family is one of very few that still works in extracting. Though the man has an opportunity to leave the place, he prefers to stay where he is.

What is so unique about his job that makes Eric stay and live the way he does? Watch our documentary to find out.

Extraordinary footage, isn’t it?

This is not AI generation; it’s the real salt flat of Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. Our team filmed the documentary "Men of Salt" there — about salt miners.

"I've never seen so much salt in one place. They build hotels from it, make sculptures, and just souvenirs. We witnessed a tourist vehicle get deeply stuck in the watery part of the salt flat. Most likely, all the salt got inside, and the car was in for a long repair,"

shared director Pavel Baydikov about the location.

The main characters of the film "Men of Salt" are perhaps the last representatives of their craft. Their trade is dying out as demand for salt decreases, making extraction unprofitable, and it is also physically demanding work. The saleros dream of working in other professions. What would they like to do? You'll find out in the film.

Learn more about documentary filmmaking, our mission, and the authors at RT.Doc in the special project "15 Years by the Script of Truth".

You are recording history, and no one will ever be able to distort or falsify it. That is your contribution to our shared Victory.’

SMO hero Alias Avidzba, who goes by the call sign Highlander, congratulated the RT.Doc team on its 15th anniversary. He serves as the deputy commander of the International ‘Pyatnashka’ Brigade.

We know Highlander very well. He has been the hero of several of our documentaries. Originally from Abkhazia, Alias went to the front as a volunteer. He has been fighting since the very beginning of the special military operation. After suffering a severe injury, he returned right back to the front lines as soon as he had recovered.

Highlander is a man of incredible spirit. You can see this for yourself by watching the RT.Doc films he appears in:

‘War Сorrespondents’ (written by Ruslan Gusarov, directed by Artyom Somov);
‘Pep Squad’ (written by Ekaterina Yakovleva, directed by Oleg Nekishev);
‘We Will Survive’ (written by Ruslan Gusarov, directed by Artyom Somov).

The event took place thanks to the courage of the audience and organizers, completely defying the threatening letters they had received.

Without your work, my life would be much poorer.’
