📹Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, New York, is a centre of Russian Orthodoxy in the American heartland. It was founded by Panteleimon, a hieromonk of Russian descent. As a deeply religious man, Panteleimon sought solitude and found it in the village of Jordanville. He devoted himself entirely to serving God and founded the monastery. Over time, it became a spiritual beacon for thousands of people who found their path to faith there.

In Jordanville, monks, seminarians, and laypeople live and work together according to strict monastic rules. Families of believers have settled near the monastery and organized their daily lives by the church calendar.

This is the first film in a trilogy about how the traditions of Orthodoxy are honoured and passed down from generation to generation overseas.

How a spiritual stronghold of Russian Orthodoxy emerged in the middle of New York State? Find out in our three-part film ‘Jordanville: The Heart of Russian Orthodoxy Abroad.’

🔽The truth breaks through even European censorship!

‘There is no free press in Europe. That is why I thank RT for its important work that creates connections in a divided world.’ Sara used these words to congratulate RT.Doc on its anniversary.

Italian psychotherapist and documentary filmmaker Sara Reginella is an incredibly brave person. Since 2015, she has been making films and writing books about the suffering of civilians in Donbass. The director presented her film ‘The Front of the Invisibles’ at the
‘RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes’ festival.

‘There is a 'blacklist' that was presented in the Italian parliament. My name is on it. They want us to feel fear,’ the Italian filmmaker explained.

Sara, thank you for your courage and your friendship!

For RT.Doc's anniversary, we have launched a major special project about the channel. We look forward to seeing you on the website ‘15 Years by the Script of Truth’.

A new episode of the project 'Lumumba's Africa' — 'African constitutions'.

Following the withdrawal of colonial powers, African countries began adopting their own constitutions. In reality, however, almost all of them were based on ready-made European models. Moreover, former colonial powers such as France and the United Kingdom had a vested interest in ensuring that newly independent states operated according to European rules.

In the second half of the 1960s, a wave of military coups swept across the African continent. The military were dissatisfied with their countries’ dependence on former metropoles and overthrew civilian governments. Frequent changes of power followed in states such as Togo, Ghana, and Nigeria.

As a result, the Western constitutional order began to erode, while no viable alternative emerged. Many countries entered a prolonged period of political instability.

A horrifying story from the USA.

This place has been dubbed a “house of horrors” online. For four years, parents kept their own children locked away. Sixteen people lived in a tiny room filled with trash, dirt, and feces. The grandparents knew what was happening but turned a blind eye. Or perhaps they helped… The investigation still has much to uncover.

Why didn’t neighbors call the police? We discuss it in our video.

A new episode of the project 'Lumumba's Africa' — 'Hunger'.

Africa is a rich and fertile continent. Yet it remains reliant on imports of staple foods such as meat, wheat, maize, and eggs.

Agriculture across the continent is highly dependent on rainfall: when a season is dry, harvests are at risk, as fields are often not equipped with machinery or irrigation systems.

According to the professor Lumumba, the fertilisers and seeds frequently imported from abroad are poorly suited to local environmental conditions. Meanwhile, crops that are well adapted to the climate, which have traditionally sustained local populations, are being cultivated less and less. At the same time, reliance on imports increases Africa’s dependence on external supplies.
