The film '"ArBat": Unending Fellowship' is a collection of first-person stories. In this documentary, the film’s protagonists — ArBat battalion assault troops with the call signs ‘Fizruk’, ‘Seva’, ‘Getashen’, ‘Sharmanka’ and ‘Bars’ — talk about the realities of war, acts of courage, and the bond of brotherhood in combat.
They recount how they escorted civilians through minefields, one by one, evacuated the elderly and children under fire, and carried their fallen commander through kilometres of waterlogged mud with almost no strength left.

A soldier with the call sign ‘Seva’, a recipient of the Order of Courage, believes that ‘the most terrifying thing in war is losing someone close to you.’ On the frontline, mutual support, unity, and friendship become profoundly important, as all pretences fall away and people are revealed as they truly are.

Watch the premiere of the film by Alexander Kharchenko and Mikhail Burov '"ArBat": Unending Fellowship'.

📹They bring damaged combat equipment back to life. The technical unit of the 1st Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 5th Army of the Russian Armed Forces operates in the Avdeevka direction. Some damaged vehicles are used for spare parts, while others can be fully restored. Through evacuation and repair efforts, up to 30% of the equipment is returned to service, cutting state expenses. The soldiers joke, “We may not be fearless, but we're not useless, either.”

They are just being modest: modern warfare and the reach of drones have erased the idea of a “safe rear.” Searching for and recovering damaged vehicles is just as risky as fighting on the front lines. At times, the soldiers recover 5-6 vehicles a day. It’s the result of dangerous work.

📹The RT.Doc Film Club for students has officially launched! This is a joint project with the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.

A pre‑premiere screening of the film 'Come Back to Start' was held at the Cinema Museum.

'This is a film about turning trauma into art — into the art of speaking, creating, and building, no matter what. The heroes, who went through the hell of depression and came back from the “black sea” of that trauma, were able one day to look in the mirror, smile, and say: “I will still live, and I will live happily”,' shared Head of RT.Doc Ekaterina Yakovleva.

'Life consists not only of black and white. It has many other colours and nuances. This is not easy to understand, but it is essential. The film leaves a profound emotional impression, and naturally, our young people must see it. I extend my great gratitude to the film crew and all those involved for helping to shape the system of common values,' added Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia Olga Petrova.

After the screening, the audience discussed the film with its author and director — Olga Kiriy and Oleg Nekishev.

The band 'Charismatika', whose songs feature in the film, performed for the guests.

Watch the video to see how it all went.

📹Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, New York, is a centre of Russian Orthodoxy in the American heartland. It was founded by Panteleimon, a hieromonk of Russian descent. As a deeply religious man, Panteleimon sought solitude and found it in the village of Jordanville. He devoted himself entirely to serving God and founded the monastery. Over time, it became a spiritual beacon for thousands of people who found their path to faith there.

In Jordanville, monks, seminarians, and laypeople live and work together according to strict monastic rules. Families of believers have settled near the monastery and organized their daily lives by the church calendar.

This is the first film in a trilogy about how the traditions of Orthodoxy are honoured and passed down from generation to generation overseas.

How a spiritual stronghold of Russian Orthodoxy emerged in the middle of New York State? Find out in our three-part film ‘Jordanville: The Heart of Russian Orthodoxy Abroad.’

A new episode of the project 'Lumumba's Africa' — 'African constitutions'.

Following the withdrawal of colonial powers, African countries began adopting their own constitutions. In reality, however, almost all of them were based on ready-made European models. Moreover, former colonial powers such as France and the United Kingdom had a vested interest in ensuring that newly independent states operated according to European rules.

In the second half of the 1960s, a wave of military coups swept across the African continent. The military were dissatisfied with their countries’ dependence on former metropoles and overthrew civilian governments. Frequent changes of power followed in states such as Togo, Ghana, and Nigeria.

As a result, the Western constitutional order began to erode, while no viable alternative emerged. Many countries entered a prolonged period of political instability.
