These shots are from the combat zone of 'ArBat,' the 'Armenian Battalion.' In 2024, its fighters were among those who liberated the Kursk Region, in Russia. They also played a major role in the defense of the DPR, including the battles for Avdeevka and Novobakhmutovka.

'ArBat' is not just professionals — it’s a real family.

How the unit was formed, what its fighters live by, and what it means to be 'with ArBat' — watch in the new film '"ArBat": Unending Fellowship'.

The premiere is this Friday, July

'Secret battles' is the fourth film in the documentary series 'The Unknown Cold War'. This episode explores how the Baltic region became one of the Cold War’s first testing grounds.

Even during the Second World War, some Baltic nationalists collaborated with occupying German forces. After the war, an anti-Soviet armed underground movement known as the ‘Forest Brothers’ gained momentum in the region.

In 1947, the United States National Security Council adopted NSC 4-A, a secret document tasking the CIA with conducting covert subversive operations against the Soviet Union and its allies.

Why did the Baltics become a convenient platform for the US and the UK to implement this directive? And how did the Soviet Union act? Watch the answers in the new film.

‘RT.Doc is a wonderful window into Russia for the whole world!’

Maria Zakharova congratulated the RT.Doc television channel on its 15th anniversary since its first broadcast. We have gathered her most striking remarks.

On the work of war documentary filmmakers:

‘I know firsthand how much strength, courage, and risk lies behind them, what the true cost of every single frame is, and how that priceless value of every minute of filmed material is built.’

On the ‘RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes’ festival:

‘The festival can truly be called people's film diplomacy. It is alive. It genuinely conveys meanings, ideas, and opinions to a vast audience. This is not about window dressing.’

On our films:

‘You do not chase sensations. You make films about what truly matters, about those who build, those who save, those who love this Earth, our planet, those who defend traditional values. Your heroes are real people who speak from the heart.’

On screenings abroad:

‘When people abroad see that Russia is not those stereotypical bears and other narratives invented for us, not our, as they say, ‘narratives.’ And if bears, then real bears. But seriously speaking, it is a great culture, a profound history, and most importantly, an enormous human heart.’

Thank you, Maria Vladimirovna! With your support, we are making our way around the world.

The RT.Doc team is receiving congratulations from Germany! 🎉

Our work was praised by Stefan Natke, head of the Berlin branch of the German Communist Party. He is a man with a complex family history. His grandfather was an assistant to a notorious SS officer, yet Stefan has dedicated his own life to fighting neo-Nazism.

He travelled to Donbass as part of the international ‘Anti-Fascist Caravan’ and became one of the heroes of our new film about the people fighting Western dictatorship. Coming soon.

📹In Yakutia, a helicopter with smoke jumpers made a hard landing. The Mil Mi-8 caught a tree, and the pilots had to land the chopper in the taiga. There were 23 people on board. No one was killed, but some were injured.

Igor Ogorodov was in the helicopter. Last year, he was the subject of our film about putting out severe wildfires in Yakutia.

Igor and his colleagues talked about the extreme conditions they had to work in and how they fell into a fire trap and hid from the flames in an icy river.

‘Many just give up and leave. I’m ok with such decisions: when a guy realises and leaves right away!’ says Nikolay Krivosheev, the head of Aerial Forest Protection.

Watch our film 'Wildfire Warriors' (2021) to discover how smoke jumpers save relict forests.

Our film 'Wildfire Warriors' (2021) tells about those who resist forest fires. Watch it on the birthday of the Russian Aviation Security Service.
