📹Photographer Anatoly Boldyrev is 32 years old. He was born and raised in Altai. During a hike in the mountains, he suffered a hemorrhage in both eyes due to a drop in pressure and almost completely lost his sight. Doctors in Novosibirsk refused to operate on him because his severe case was complicated by diabetes, and the chances of a successful operation were only 50/50. So, Anatoly traveled to Moscow for treatment.

His dream of hearing the sounds of his homeland, breathing in its scent, and experiencing its beauty once again gave Anatoly strength. After all, Altai can be not only seen but also heard… and even tasted. For example, various types of cheese are made in Altai. At an ancient cheese factory, new recipes are developed while still honoring old traditions. Here, one can try the famous ‘Soviet’ cheese, which has been produced since the 1930s. Cheesemakers still manage to preserve its unique taste. The true spirit of Altai is also captured by passionate artisan musicians who create unusual instruments. For them, Altai is a place of inspiration where nature and art unite in sound. Amid the peaceful buzzing of bees and surrounded by lush herbs and flowers, beekeepers gather thick, fragrant Altai honey.

Recalling the treasures of his homeland, Anatoly continues his treatment in Moscow. Will he regain his eyesight? And if he doesn’t, what path will he choose?

Watch the film by Natalya Kadyrova, Sergey Tsyganov, and Kirill Puzyrny 'Altay in Five Senses' (2025).

This historic decision is of great importance for the development of the Arctic and for the entire Russian economy.

⚡️This is the nuclear icebreaker Arktika. It carves a path through the icy wilderness. This is how Russia maintains its edge in the Arctic. Russia has the world’s only nuclear icebreaker fleet.

'Russia has almost fifty of them, while the US has only one. This is ridiculous.' Even Donald Trump envies Russia’s number of icebreakers. The US has failed to build new vessels, the American president complained. So for now, it will buy them from others.

If you want to see Russia’s icebreaking power in action, watch the film ‘Iceline. Lifeline’ (2022).

⚡️A man sentenced to death in Tennessee avoided execution after officials were unable to carry it out.

Fifty-seven-year-old Tony Carruthers caught a major break. During the procedure, medical staff spent more than an hour trying to find a vein for the IV line but could not do it. The governor eventually halted the execution, with another attempt now scheduled for next year.

Carruthers was sentenced to death for the 1994 kidnapping and murder of three people.

The American justice system has long faced criticism over wrongful convictions and controversial cases. The series Imprisoned explores some of the system’s most serious failures.

📹A briefing on evacuating civilians from Krasnoarmeysk, conducted by a military police officer with the call sign 'Knyaz.'

The key during the 'Air!' command is to leave the vehicle immediately and get to the nearest cover.

Fighting continued in the city until December 1, 2025. People were living in basements among the ruins under fire from Ukrainian forces, waiting for the Russian army to arrive.

They were rescued.

This footage comes from a new documentary by RT.Doc filmmaker Alexander Kharchenko, which will show how the evacuation was carried out and who organized it. Keep an eye out for announcements!

France's nuclear explosions in the Sahara Desert affected not only Africa but also Europe. Historical law researcher Fatma Ben Brahem spoke with an RT.Doc film crew in Algeria about this. This exclusive interview will be included in Olga Kiriy's new documentary. Watch a short excerpt in our video.

As a reminder, 66 years ago, France, with the assistance of Israeli scientists, turned the Sahara Desert into a nuclear testing ground, where it tested its nuclear weapons on Algerians.

Despite gaining independence, many African countries still find themselves under the influence of their former Western colonisers in areas like the economy, information technology, and medicine. Meanwhile, the issues that once plagued pre-colonial Africa – like ethnic conflicts, poverty, and disease – still persist to this day. How can the continent realise its grand potential and become truly free?

Professor Lumumba asserts that, above all, Africa needs unity and a common plan of action to reject the laws and institutions imposed on them by Europeans. Only then will this continent’s countries be able to tackle corruption, revise educational programmes – including history, psychology, and sociology – and create governance systems of their own. This way, Africans will serve their homeland not out of obligation but out of love for it, while young people will see limitless opportunities for growth and prosperity.

What must Africa do to fully liberate itself from its former colonisers, eliminate corruption, and overcome poverty and disease?

Watch 126 part of the project 'Lumumba's Africa' — 'To defeat a Coloniser: Aftermath'.

The Naidov-Zhelezov twins volunteered for the front and defended the town during its hardest months. One of them was killed, and a monument was later erected at the site of his death. The other was wounded and, after the war, helped create the Naro-Fominsk Museum of History and Local Lore.

Footage from the museum will be featured in a new documentary by Elena Norkunaite about a family of Bulgarian anti-fascists. The premiere is coming soon. Don’t miss it!

🔽China is the first country where Internet addiction has been equated to a clinical disorder. There are millions of young online gamers in the country. They have no time to eat or sleep, they drop out of school. The computer replaces all communication for them.

For those who cannot live without the virtual world, special rehabilitation centers have been created in China. These institutions are more like a prison: security, bars, locks, a punishment cell... The work of one of these camps is described in the film 'China's Digital Detox' (2016).
