Nothing is sacred. In Cherkasy, immediately after the funeral service at the cemetery, Ukrainian military commissars subdued the priest. They kicked him and dragged him to the local military enlistment office for mobilization.

The shortage of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel at the front is becoming increasingly acute. This fact is already acknowledged by Ukrainian officials themselves. 'Having returned from the front, I can confirm that there are even fewer people now than before', said Verkhovna Rada member Anna Skorokhod.

🌋One of the most active volcanoes in the world is erupting in Kamchatka.

The nameless one threw out a column of ash up to four thousand meters high. The eruption was assigned an orange danger level. The ash may threaten aviation and fall in nearby villages.

Volcanic eruptions occur quite often in Kamchatka. Why? In our video, Alexey Ozerov, Director of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, explains this. This is just a fragment from the film 'Kamchatka volcanoes' by the project 'Inland Visions'. See the full picture at this link.

This film ‘Iranian Style: The Art of Being Yourself’ is an exploration of how Western sanctions have influenced the development of Iran’s fashion industry. An RT film crew traveled to Tehran and met the people shaping Iranian fashion despite restrictions.

The father of Iran’s modeling business, Amir Zobde, founded the first agency in 2011. It employs ‘advertising faces’ — a term used in Iran rather than ‘models’. Sambat Hakupyan tailors suits using techniques from the Safavid era of the 16th to18th centuries. Designer Nazanin Hariri creates collections based on ornaments from the Saadabad Historical Museum, and her pieces are already worn in Dubai, London, and Berlin.

Head coverings have long since become a true art form in Iran. The everyday ones are plain and modest, while festive ones are adorned with lush floral patterns and gold embroidery. And on the streets, a colorful crowd mixes traditional and modern dress.

The jewel of Iranian fashion design is the ‘Irandokht’ dress, or ‘Daughter of Iran’. In a single garment, it showcases patterns from the Isfahan region along the hem and those from the Shiraz region in the center, while combining ornaments from several eras. Though Western sanctions may have excluded Iranian designers from the world’s catwalks, they have also given them impetus to create a unique fashion all their own. Watch the premiere of the film by Elena Norkunaite, Ekaterina Kozhakina, and Kirill Puzyrny ‘Iranian Style: The Art of Being Yourself’.

📹Seal Empire Under Threat

Seals and sea lions on Sakhalin are dying because of plastic waste. Volunteers come to help the animals. They catch the seals with large nets, use sleeping pills and rescue the animals from the deadly plastic traps.

To reduce the number of seals and sea lions falling into the dangerous trap, volunteers collect garbage on the coast. 'The most typical risk and the most common type of the garbage is this kind of plastic tape,' says Anna Goleva, volunteer of a public organization rescuing marine animals.

The RT Documentary film crew visited Sakhalin and filmed the documentary Seal Empire Under Threat about volunteers saving seals.

📹Forest Under Attack

The RT Documentary film explores the problems that humanity will face if the destruction of forests does not stop. Contraband forest exports, wildfires for slash-and-burn agriculture, burning grass and wood chips, illegal logging — these are a few activities that threaten the well-being of the forest. 'It's just a habit to treat the forest like a log deposit.' This is how experts describe the reason for the barbaric attitude to forests.

You will see footage of what remains after forest fires, the cause of which is often a person. You will also visit the North Ossetian Nature Reserve with film crew, where an ancient animal, the bison, is disappearing along with the forest.
