🛎The Russian bell is a symbol of centuries-old friendship. The RT.Doc team recently returned from Ethiopia and is preparing a new documentary for broadcast. It will explore the cooperation and long-standing friendship between our countries. The authors were able to find evidence that the first contacts between the heads of state began even before the establishment of official relations. For example, in 1896, the Russian mission delivered diplomatic gifts from Nicholas II to Emperor Menelik II of Ethiopia. One of these gifts was a Russian bell, which symbolized the spiritual unity of the two Orthodox peoples. Learn more in our video.

The nameless one threw out a column of ash up to four thousand meters high. The eruption was assigned an orange danger level. The ash may threaten aviation and fall in nearby villages.
