⭕️⭕️⭕️In continuation of topics going on, now we are coming with a new topic which is called “Lookup”.

This will help you in a situation where you want to find the data based on some lookup value. let us go through the syntax of ‘Lookup’: -

➡️➡️Syntax
=LOOKUP (lookup value, Array)
♦️♦️In the below screenshot you can see one problem is given with Table A and we need to find the Discount percentage in Table B. We will solve this problem with the help of Lookup. Please follow below steps: -
☝️🟢Step 1: -
Click on Cell ‘H7’ and press ‘=’ this will activate to cell to use function, and start typing ‘Lookup’.
✌️🔵Step 2: - After Typing ‘Lookup’ start the function by using any one from below two sub-steps: -
(i) Press Start bracket ‘(‘.
OR
(ii) You can press ‘Tab’ button.
🤟🟣Step 3: - Select ‘Lookup Value in Cell G7’ as given in the syntax.

(Lookup Value is the value for which you want to find the result, and on the basis of this you can find the result from table array).
✌️✌️🟢Step 4: - After selecting ‘Lookup Value in cell G7’, Select ‘Table Array from Cell C7 to D17’ from which you want to find the results of ‘lookup value’.
🤟✌️🟣Step 5: - After selecting the table close the brackets ‘)’ and press ‘Enter’ or ‘Tab’.

You can see the yellow highlighted Cell H7 discount percentage has come out of the Table A which is given in front of sale of 100.

⭕️⭕️⭕️After discussion on “Lookup” first condition in which the lookup value is same as mentioned in the Table Array, let us discuss the second condition if the lookup value is different and not in the Table Array, then how lookup function will work.

=LOOKUP (lookup value, Array)
