Msi GP63 8re overheating
(I didn’t get any better answers so had to make a new post)
Spec :
i7 - 8750h
16 GB ram
GTX 1060 6Gb
I tried undervolting my CPU and GPU but I'm still getting thermal throttling. CPU temps are around 95 and GPU around 91.
I'm getting power and voltage limit on my GPU
GPU running at 1800mhz (1404-1670(boost))
While gaming I get a lot of stutters to a point where I have to wait till the fps is back
Usually, play GTA, COD warzone, Escape from tarkov
Recently I updated my bios and vbios too

GS65 fan cleaning
So my GS65's big GPU fan suddenly started rattling pretty hard. Replacement parts are not available in my current location so my only possibility right now is cleaning and greasing the fan

Is it possible to remove the fan without needing to reapply thermal paste? youtube videos seem to show this is not possible although a previous comment here suggested otherwise

Need Help - Dragon Center Battery Health Option
Hi all,
I need your help. My Battery Health Option in Dragon Center does not work anymore. I want to change my battery option to "Best for Battery" which means the laptop is only charged when under 50% and stops at 60%.
I tried to reinstall the Dragon Center, but it's still the same. Do you know how to fix it?
Appreciate your comments!

side of laptop is bending open after 2 years of use. Do I need to buy a new laptop?
I don’t know what I’ve done to fuck this up, but there is this fissure opening up on the side of my laptop
It is starting to not turn on when it is not placed in a particular position. This might have something to do with the charger, this might have something to do with how the top part of the laptop is angled, this might have something to do with how level the surface is. not sure
Is it something to do with the battery? Is it wear and tear? The powering off thing is starting to get pretty bad so I figured I should ask

MSI gT62VR 6RE Dominator Pro Battery Life and Performance Question?
I have had and used this laptop for almost four years now for work and games, and have over the past few months noticed a decline in my laptop's un-plugged battery life, to the point now where it only lasts a few minutes, without being plugged in. In correlation to this I have also noticed an increase in Visual freezes that last anywhere from 1-3 seconds while preforming mundane tasks on google, to playing a verity of graphically intensive games(war thunder to half-life 2 as examples) both online and offline. this issue appears to be connected to the battery, as when it is unplugged, the visual freezing stops. also, when my laptop's battery had more life, and I played games while it was charging from a low power state, to "Full" it would not experience these issues, until the battery approached or got to the "Full" mark. as I cannot really operate my laptop without constant, plugged power now, I experience these issues more often now.
I know I need to replace the Battery very soon. But what I want to know is, will replacing the battery Fix this Visual/Performance Problem I am having? it is very random, happening around every 1-2 minutes and not caused by any background apps that I can detect. my only hunch is that it is something burred in the battery settings, switching the performance setting back and forth between charging and charged, I suspect this, because of the correlation of the degrading battery life, and that changing the performance value slider has a similar effect.
If anyone has any suggestions, that could at least help me to solve this visual/performance issue until i get a new battery, I would really appreciate it.

MSI GS66 Keyboard Space Bar Problems
Hey guys, I just got my GS66 yesterday and noticed my space bar has a weird issue. The center really clicks well, but the left and right sides are really soft when pushing down. It takes a harder press to get it to register and I see that when unpressed the left side is a little more down than the rest of the keys. Just wanted to know if anybody else has this problem and if it may be useful to continue with MSI's support?

Battery % is capped at 80%
My friend just bought a new MSI laptop. Right now he's having an issue with the battery being capped at 80%. It won't charge past it.
I've read that it was a setting from Dragon Center. The first thing I did when he got his new laptop was to remove all the MSI bloatware and clean the registry. I thought I did a thorough job, but apparently this battery cap (and maybe other settings) are still live even if there isn't a trace of Dragon Center left.
Is there a way to remove the battery charging cap? Or simply to validate that everything Dragon Center related is gone for good? I've looked around but I couldn't find an answer so I'm turning to this sub.
Thanks

GS66 Stealth Complaints/Issues
Hello All,
I just received my GS66 Stealth in the mail 6 hours ago. From the getgo it has major issues. I made the switch from my Macbook Pro because I need a powerful computer to run my geo-spatial programs. Here's my issues;

1. The fan is so goddamn loud even when you arent gaming. You cant Skype without a headset due to the noise from the fan. I was on google reading emails and it sounds like a plane taking off.
2. Program came in either the wrong versions or wildly out of date. My Dragon Center wasnt the correct version. I couldnt control the fans, gaming mode etc,. Customer support had me uninstall it, then install another version that didnt work even worse. Then I couldnt even open it. The MSI website to download the correct version had a broken link on top of that.
3. Customer Support is garbage. Had a guy help me with the Dragon Center issue, told me he would call back. He never did so I called again. Then was told by another guy this would take 3-4 days to resolve. Like what the fuck? How hard is it to send me a file with the proper fucking version of your companies program??
4. Laggy/buggy. Have programs crash on me or take forever to open despite the power behind this machine. It took 20 mins attempting to restart before I had to hard shutdown.
5. Microfiber cloth is useless. Your hands with leave marks on the keys and chasis and the cloth wont even wipe away. My computer looks fucking disgusting.
Anyone else with issues? I wound up sending a huge bitching email to their sales and marketing because the tech support doesnt have an email listed PLUS they're useless dumbasses. Hopefully they forward it to someone that cares about satisfied customers and good PR enough to help me.

Two issues happened at once, one with keyboard lighting, and one with the display.
I use Windows 10 ver. 1909, and I checked for updates, none.
I bought my GS75 Stealth-413 only around 4 months ago; I keep it plugged in practically all time time. Around 20 minutes ago, the display suddenly tinted itself blue, and the keyboard backlight shut itself off. SteelSeries Engine 3 is running normally and it doesn't say the backlight is off. No power saving mode/night light mode is on. I restarted the computer, didn't help. I unplugged the power, and the keyboard backlight came back on. I plugged it in again; it shuts off. I have tested this, and yes, it only turns off when the computer is plugged in. When plugging the computer in, the lights under the keyboard shut off, then the orange function lights flash for a split second, then it's all off. Unplugging it performs this in reverse order: orange function lights, then they're all off, then full keyboard is back on.
As for the cool display tint, I restarted the graphics driver with Win+Ctrl+Shift+B, nothing. I know of no way of fixing it other than permanently enabling the night light orange-tint mode and slightly adjusting it.

Any prospective buyers beware: multitude of issues for some expensive products
Bought my GS65 (GTX1070 model) a year and half ago at best buy and it was a REALLY good laptop for the first 6 months then the issues started showing up.
1. GPU Fans (left side) started making a grinding noise, causing minor but still concerning vibrations. Tapping the left side of the laptop sometimes fixed this until a point where something HAD to be done. After multiple threads of people talking about a "piece of glue causing the rattling" or "just RMA", I found a thread mentioning a bad fan bearing. I opened up the laptop, flipped the stupid motherboard so I could access the fans, opened the fans and had to clean and relubricate them with machining oil. This solved the problem except every 3-8 months since, I've had to redo this entire process multiple times.
2. Battery started swelling .a little over a year after my purchase. At first I did not know why my trackpad seemed to be bulging out but after a bit of googling it turned out my battery was swelling. Had to throw out my battery (recycle) and have been using the laptop without a battery since, which is not a big deal to me since I only use it on a desk plugged in anyways but it's just a shit problem to have regardless. Obviously there is a chance my multiple "operations" needed on the fans may have caused this or just pure bad luck, but I like to think of myself as very experienced and careful with my electronics.
3. Just 2 days ago my CPU fan (right side) started making the same noise as the GPU fans. At this point I know what to do, but it is simply a problem I believe I should not be having. This is a $2000 laptop plagued with poor quality issues. Honestly a disappointment.
These were only MY issues and the fan and overheating/thermal throttling problems just blow my mind. I have seen so many other posts about additional issues which thankfully I haven't had to deal with yet but I can't help but be frustrated. I've used other MSI products and been extremely satisfied but these laptops just seem to have shit the bed. Not recommended purchases just because of the headaches you might experience.
