10th Gen GP66 - Dragon Center custom fan speeds not working

I have a GP66 Leopard 10UG. I recently upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

I had to do a clean install and since reinstalling Dragon Center, DC does not seem to have any effect on the fan speeds. I edited the User Scenario and changed the fan speeds at the various temps. I tested the fans and they aren't changing according to what I set for the fan speeds.

I have tried installing DC from both the support page for my device, as well as the main MSI page for DC. This hasn't made a difference.

Please note:

\- I can't use MSI Center because my laptop is 10th Gen.

\- I don't have any other fan control apps installed, although I do have Throttlestop and Afterburner.

\- Cooler Boost works

Is there a solution to this so that I can get my fans to respond to the custom fan speeds I set in Dragon Center?

Got my computer serviced for overheating issues, he uninstalled MSI Companion, and now everything is super laggy.

I was having problems with my computer overheating and switching between GPUs while playing steam games, so I went to a local computer shop and let the guy do his thing. charged me $250 for him to uninstall MSI companion, dust everything, and reapply thermal paste. he also somehow deleted the NVIDIA GPU???? so not only did he not fix the problem, most of the games won't even open, saying i need to update drivers and do stuff with nvidia, and the few that I can open are baggy as fuck and give me 9 frames a second. is there anyone who knows how to fix this? I tried reinstalling the MSI companion, but so far is hasn't worked, and Nvidia won't let me install the app because it wants the NVIDIA gpu and I dont know what im doing. tried having my brother help but he didnt know what we were looking at either. Riot games work fine, its honestly just steam games. MSI katana 15 b12vgk, and supposed to have a GeForce rtx 4060 I think? might be 4070.

Need previous vbios for 5080 in Vector 16 HX AI, anywhere to find??

Greetings all! So I was doing some updates, and without thinking updated the Vbios on the Nvidia 5080 from the MSI page without backing up my current version. And while the update went fine, I now get constant black screen of death when playing any game using the 5080. I've spent three days trying to find a fix, have done all sorts of drivers, DDU cleans, and even a fresh Windows install. All with same result, playing a game on the 5080 causes it to crash every time.

So sending out a hail mary here, does anyone have the previous version of the Vbios, know where to download it, or would be willing to share it from a GPU-Z backup?

EDIT: the version I flashed is the newest on the MSI support page, 98.03.A1.00.11 and is the one causing me problems. If others are ready, MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP before trying this new version, but I wouldn't bother at all with it after my experience ha.... system was rock solid before.

Vector 16 A8HW getting a bit hot even though it's new.

hey guys, just got this thing and it works amazingly so far. it's got a couple little quirks that I'm dealing with, but the only main problem I'm having is that the CPU seems to get really hot when it didn't do that in the testing on all the reviews I watched. It gets up to 91 when playing world of Warcraft not even in a raid or anything just kind of wandering around town. The GPU is doing a perfectly fine no issues at all, but the CPU TCTL will be at 91 or 92 off and on. Is this normal? then sometimes when I exit wow, it's a temple shoot up to 90 real quick and then go back down. any thoughts? any tweaking I could do to get the temperatures lower? I'm wanting to make this laptop as efficient as possible so that it lasts as long as possible. already thinking about undervolting, But I was wondering what other things I could do. I saw this one guy post about a different vector 16 where he went into the advanced bios and changed a bunch of stuff, but I didn't have most of the things on my advanced bios page that he was talking about so I have to not to mess with that for now.

do you guys recommend doing any of that stuff or anything tweaking wise to get the most juice and efficiency out of my new laptop?

windows 25h2 messed up my touchpad drivers, help

Hi guys ,i've hit a wall with my touchpad.
I'm running Windows 11 25H2 on an MSI GF63 Thin 10SCSR, and my touchpad has completely stopped working in Windows, although it works perfectly in the BIOS and on my other dual booted Linux.
Te drivers version defaults to Microsoft generic ones 2006 idk why, even tho I tried everything uninstall, installing elan touchpad drivers etc...

What I’ve already tried:
Tried every solution within device manager
EC Resets: Multiple 30-second power button holds.
Driver Injection: Tried pnputil and manual "Have Disk" installs in Test Mode.
Security: Disabled Secure Boot and Memory Integrity.
I2C Bridge: Uninstalled/reinstalled Intel Serial IO I2C Host Controllers.
Even in Test Mode, the OS seems to be blocking the driver handshake.

Any help would be massive!

New laptop options

I know I can very much look up this information, but I really want to know from the people using it. My MSI katana gf66 has a 3050ti gpu it has been okay for a while, but with the newer games, I don't know if it can handle them. I want to get another one that can run most of the new games coming out with high graphics, at least at 60 fps, I don't know if there are any budget friendly options in that range from MSI please help🙏🏼

MSI Capslock Notification Since MSI Center 2.0.66.0 Update FIXED!!!!

Guys! Old Vash is here to help you out. I contacted MSI. They said the capslock notification not being able to be turned off is a mistake in the latest MSI Center update. Just kill this process in task manager: OMAPSVCbroker.exe The problem will stop. Next update they intend to fix the issue. Upvote me and pin me in other chats please so everyone sees the fix.

MSI Vector A16 HX A8W Sporadically Throttles to 0.55ghz on Battery

Hello,
My MSI Laptop with Ryzen 9 8940HX throttles to 0.55ghz when on battery (extremely light usage). It is perfectly fine on the provided 330W charger, but is virtually unusable on battery. I tried an EC reset, a BIOS update, changing power plans in the control panel, updating drivers, and a full Windows factory reset, but nothing worked. It is also very sporadic, as it is sometimes perfectly fine on battery, while other times, it is immediately bricked. Has anyone experienced similar issues? If so, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
