Job Summary

Senior Technologist is responsible for complete operation of the Department in conjunction with the Laboratory Manager/Medical Director.Performs all moderate and highly complex clinical procedures utilizing sophisticated instrumentation to obtain accurate laboratory test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.Duties are performed under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager/Medical Director.The Senior Medical Technologist is proficient in all principle duties of all junior Medical Technologist.Responsible for complex laboratory testing and has broad decision-making authority and independence. T=Provide technical direction to staff regarding complex and non-routine testing and is a source of contact of inquiries from clients or sales representatives.Responsible for investigating and resolving analytical testing problems and recommending course of action.Responsible for training and development of staff under the direction of the Laboratory manager / Medical Director in accordance to the appropriate local guidelines.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) degreeFull knowledge of hematology, biochemistry, immunology ,Iso documentation and microbiology with more than 10 yrs experienceMust demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills within department as well as with other functions within the company and third parties (ie.clients)Must have the ability to establish work priorities for self and others and handle several procedures simultaneously including troubleshooting instruments and other problems/issuesMust protect patient confidentiality at all times.
