Dear Students,

We are excited to share with you that Jane Street will be running INSIGHT in January 2025 for STEM Women, transgender, and gender-expansive students in their 2nd year of university. Selected participants will spend three days at Jane Street's Hong Kong office from 8th Jan to 10th Jan, learning about the operations of Jane Street through a set of trading and programming classes and activities.

Participants will arrive in Hong Kong on the evening of 7th January and will depart on 12th January 2025. Jane Street will cover all travel to and from Hong Kong, including meals, housing, and a variety of social events.

INSIGHT offers three different program tracks: Trading, Software Engineering, Strategy and Product

This interactive session will provide a comprehensive introduction to the essentials of Git and GitHub, empowering you to streamline your development workflows and contribute to open-source projects confidently.

The workshop will cover key topics, including:
-Git command usage for local and remote repositories
-Industry-standard best practices for committing and pushing code

We are excited to introduce the MLDA@EEE Apprentice Programme (MAP) 24/25, a structured initiative to guide and prepare the next batch of student leaders!

Through hands-on projects, training, and collaboration, participants will gain insights into the club’s operations while developing leadership and teamwork skills. Whether you aspire to take on a leadership role or contribute to the club’s growth, this is your chance to engage, learn, and make an impact.

ITSS and LTA are running a month-long hackathon with the theme "Making our Roads Safer" from 28 February to 28 March which aims to challenge students to develop innovative solutions for road safety and traffic efficiency. The event will focus on innovative solutions that utilise datasets and digital tools in traffic sense-making and optimisation, safety enhancement, or AI-based traffic planning and operations.
