We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. The hire will be responsible to work on the AWS/Azure/GCP plus Snowflake techstack for improving our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as improving the data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder as well versed in making consistent changes to the pipeline.
Experience - 3 - 5 Years
Location - Pune

Roles & Responsibilities –
1. Design the data structures on Snowflake
2. Build SQL Server (or any other data source) to Cloud pipeline and then load to Snowflake
3. Manage the end to end processing of Data on Snowflake, the data accesses, queries, etc
4. Create and maintain and improve the data pipeline architecture
5. Ensure Snowflake best practices are adhered to while implementing
6. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
7. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
8. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and ‘big data’ technologies.
9. Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
10. Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Skillset
1. Experience with the core AWS services, plus the specifics mentioned in this job description.
2. Basic understanding of Snowflake (atleast theoretical) is a must
3. Hands-on experience with Snowflake is a great plus point.
4. Well versed in SQL programming, Drivers, ORM and Spark is an important aspect.
5. Good understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Distributed systems is critical.
6. Experience with Version Control Systems such a GIT and its integrations for CI/CD via Serverless or any other framework.
7. Having used AWS Lambda, NodeJS, Python, MYSQL, Kinesis, Object Relational Mapping in the past is a plus.
8. Proficiency in at least one language from our stack: NodeJS, Python, SQL
9. Strong notions of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, Code and test best practices).
