From Psalm 120
all the way
to Psalm 134,
we have a section
of Psalms called
the Songs of Degrees,
or the Songs of Ascent.

These songs give us
stepping stones to
a higher level.

God is always calling us higher.
He raises us up to a higher level.

This happens in different areas
of our lives.
Naturally speaking, our age is
always ascending higher.
But our faith can too!

We can rise above the tumult,
above the turmoil, above the
turbulence, above the noise,
above the clamor, above the
commotion, above the chaos,
above the pandemonium.

of our Lunch Hour

In Luke 17 there was
a Leper's Association,
which had ten broken,
rejected men!
π π£
One day Hope and Healing
came walking down their road.
π₯ π₯ π£π―
They grabbed the opportunity
and called out for help!
ππΌ π¬
The miracle came in the form
of an instruction: "Go..."
π¬πΆπ»πΆπ½ββπΆπ½ββπΆπ»πΆπ½πΆπΎββπΆπ½πΆπΎββπΆπ½πΆπΎββ
After following this short simple
instruction, the ten quarantine
cases got miraculously healed!
πΆπ½πΆπΎββγ°
Two of them perhaps continued
following the initial instruction,
instead of receiving a divine
'update' from God.
π©βπ¦βπ¦ π ππ½ππ½ββ
Maybe another two immediately
went home to rejoin their family
and friends whom they deeply missed.
π¨π»ββ ππ‘ππ½ββππ½
Possibly two of the now healed lepers
went back into a life of sin and crime!

But the Bible tells us
that ONE of them
returned to JESUS
with THANKSGIVING!

Shortly thereafter he was graduated
to wholeness and grace. (v19)

In Luke 8,
a respected leader
humbly came to Jesus.
ππ»π§π»
He bowed down
and implored Jesus
to come into his house,
where his only daughter
was dying!
ππΌ
Jesus accepted the request.
π¨
But as they went to the house,
there was an interruption!
π±
By the time they got back on track,
someone met them with the bad news
that the girl was dead!
π ππ»ππΎ
And when they got to the house
there was a commotion of people
weeping and wailing.
πππ’
βπΌ
Jesus said, "Weep Not,
she is not dead but sleeping".
π€£π€£π
Then their weeping turned to laughter,
but they were laughing scornfully.

Jairus' daughter was well!
