In Luke 15
Jesus narrates a story
about two boys and
their father.


👨🏼‍🦳🧑🏻‍🦱
People have called it
the story of the prodigal son,
but it should more correctly
be titled the story of the
Loving Father.



🤲🏼📦📦🏡🗄
The wayward younger son
requested his inheritance.


🚘💭
Then he packed up
and left.


✈️ 🌍
He went far away
from his father.



👋🏼👨🏼‍🦳
He was no longer
under the influence
and guidance
of his father.



🗣🍾🍻
He got under the influence
of alcohol and riotous living.


😣☄
Eventually things didn't
work out well for him.



💵 ❌
Broke and broken,
he made his way
back home!

The rest of the story gives us
the picture of what took place
when he returned.

In this entire parable
Jesus paints a powerful
portrait of God as our
Heavenly Father.

as Your Heavenly Father!

King Cyrus made
an announcement.

After 70 years of captivity,
the Jews were now allowed
to go back home and rebuild
the House of God.

Everything would be
paid for by the Kingdom,
and by donations of
well-wishers.



🔥🪵🐑
When they returned,
they built the altar
in Jerusalem.


🪚🔨🪜🛢
A year later they
managed to lay
the foundation
of the House of God.

This was a joyful occasion
accompanied by singing,
praising and thanksgiving.
