In 1 Samuel Ch1
We are introduced
to good man called
Elkanah.


👨🏻 👩🏻 👩🏼‍🦱
He was husband to
Hannah, and Peninnah!


🤰🏼🤱🏼 💁🏼‍♀ 👶🏻👶🏼👶🏻👶🏽
Peninnah was productive.
She gave Elkanah at least
four children.


👼🏻 ❌ 🙁🙍🏻‍♀
Hannah on the other
hand, had no baby!


🙂 💁🏻‍♀ 👍🏼
She might have been
satisfied and content,
because she had
a good man. He cared.
He was considerate.
He gave her the best.



👩🏼‍🦱 😛 🙍🏻‍♀💭👶🏻
But Peninnah was there
to remind Hannah that
there was something
missing in her life.


🧟‍♀ 🗯⚡️
Peninnah provoked.
Peninnah perturbed.
Peninnah persisted.



🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🏃🏻‍♀🏃🏻‍♀
Peninnah pushed Hannah
to prayer.
Intense Prayer!




🙏🏻 🛐 🙆🏻‍♀ 😫
And Hannah's intense Prayer
birthed her blessing.
A bouncing baby boy destined
to be a Prophet of God.

Hannah later had five
more children,
by the grace of God,
three sons and
two daughters!

with a visit to His hometown.

It was a Sabbath Service
at the Synagogue in Nazareth.

He volunteered to do
the reading of the day.
So a scroll was handed
to Him.

It was Isaiah's Prophetic Writings.
Jesus found the verse which says:

THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD
IS UPON ME,
BECAUSE HE HAS EMPOWERED
ME TO PREACH ...

He went on reading, and after
two verses, He closed the Book
and sat down.



🧔🏻 👀 👀
Everyone was staring at Him.
Then He spoke and announced:

TODAY, THIS SCRIPTURE
IS FULFILLED
IN YOUR EARS!

In Luke 15
Jesus narrates a story
about two boys and
their father.


👨🏼‍🦳🧑🏻‍🦱
People have called it
the story of the prodigal son,
but it should more correctly
be titled the story of the
Loving Father.



🤲🏼📦📦🏡🗄
The wayward younger son
requested his inheritance.


🚘💭
Then he packed up
and left.


✈️ 🌍
He went far away
from his father.



👋🏼👨🏼‍🦳
He was no longer
under the influence
and guidance
of his father.



🗣🍾🍻
He got under the influence
of alcohol and riotous living.


😣☄
Eventually things didn't
work out well for him.



💵 ❌
Broke and broken,
he made his way
back home!



📜💬
The rest of the story gives us
the picture of what took place
when he returned.

In this entire parable
Jesus paints a powerful
portrait of God as our
Heavenly Father.

a deeper revelation,
a life-changing perspective,
of God,
as Your Heavenly Father!
