Genesis 32:25
And when he saw that he prevailed not against him,
he touched the hollow of his thigh;
and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint,
as he wrestled with him.

The hollow, was that socket part,
of the ball-and-socket joint.
°
The Man (pre-incarnate Son of God)
TOUCHED Jacob in the hollow part.
°
God will touch your empty places!
°
God will reach into your emptiness,
and fill it with what fits!
°
You're grieving right now over
what you lost, or what's missing.
But God cares about your empty spaces.
°
He reaches His Hand and Touches the hollow.
"But God cleaved a hollow place that was in the jawbone,
and there came water out from there". (Judges 15:19)
°
Your empty places will be where God supplies
His streams!

In order to reach that hollow place,
God had to go inside. Internal.
The hollow place wasn't on the surface.
It was beyond the skin.
It was where Jacob had to be real with God.
°
God will go beyond your facade,
beyond your nice church face.
Beyond your settled posture.
He will go right to the depths of
your scars.
He will touch where you really hurt.
He does a sort of non-invasive - invasive
surgery.
You won't know how it happened,
but the pain will be gone!
°
The only thing left is a limp.
But that limp is temporary.
It's a tendon healing.
You'll be back on your feet again,
just like before.
