In 1 Kings 11
King Solomon went
out of control.


👰🏻‍♀👰🏼👰🏽‍♀👰🏿👰🏻‍♀👰🏾
He ended up with
700 wives!!


🧜🏾‍♀🧜🏼‍♀🧜🏽‍♀
Many of them were
not worshippers of
the one true God,
but they came in with
false gods.



🤪🔮🕺
As a result,
when Solomon
was old, his heart
was affected and
distracted.


📖👀
He no longer focussed
on the Lord.
His relationship with God
deteriorated, until he
was running with other gods!


🌘 🖤
He got involved in some bad
things.


🤷🏻‍♂
Did God forsake him?
Did God kick him out?



No!


Although jealously angry,
the Lord treated Solomon
as a Father would do
with his son.


🙇🏻‍♂🧹
Solomon was about to
get a few canes in
the back room.

God raised up
Hadad, King of Edom.
His purpose was to
afflict King Solomon.


🤴🏻
Hadad,
was protected and
provided for,
until the time of his
divine assignment.


✊🏻
He was obviously
revengeful,
vindictive and
having a vendetta,
yet God used him
for His Purpose.

Prophet Elisha
was mentoring
a school of prophets.

Even though there was
a famine in the land,
He was able to provide
food for the students
under his care.


🍲 🍽
But when
the food
was served,
there was a
suspicious taste!



🙅🏻‍♂🤦🏻‍♂🙆🏻‍♂ 🗣
The students shouted,
and expressed their concerns
about something deadly in
the food.


😷
They could not eat it.



🖐🏻🧔🏻
The man of God, Elisha
didn't panic or get frantic
or frenzied.



🍄❌
Through FAITH
he neutralized the poison.
Whatever harm
was in the food,
was nullified.


📚💪🏼
The Bible reminds us that,
The Just shall Live By Faith.


🚀 🌏
And that it is through FAITH
that we overcome the world.

prisoners were

very kind people.

It was raining and cold,
so the islanders
made a fire for the
prisoners and the crew.

Paul decided to help
the hosts.
He collected some
additional firewood.


😱 😱
But suddenly something
terrible took place!

A huge, poisonous
snake, bit Paul's hand!

What happened next
provides us with the faith
to know that The Lord
can PROTECT US,
no matter what is inserted
injected, or ingested into
our bodies!

The student population
of the Bible School had grown.

Space was limited.
Accommodation was tight!

They went to the leader
and requested expansion.
More rooms. Extra space.


🤝 🏗 🏗
It was agreed,
and they proceeded
with the new building program.


🌲🌲🌲 🪵🪵
Trees were used as lumber
for building material.
They were cut down
by the students themselves.



🌲🪓
One guy, as he swang
an axe to a tree,
didn't notice that the
iron axehead
was coming loose from
it's wooden handle!


😝 ✊🏻〰🪓💦
Before too long, the
unexpected happened.
The axe head flew into
the river, and sank to
the bottom.


❓
Impossible to get it back ??


NO!

We are introduced
to good man called
Elkanah.


👨🏻 👩🏻 👩🏼‍🦱
He was husband to
Hannah, and Peninnah!


🤰🏼🤱🏼 💁🏼‍♀ 👶🏻👶🏼👶🏻👶🏽
Peninnah was productive.
She gave Elkanah at least
four children.


👼🏻 ❌ 🙁🙍🏻‍♀
Hannah on the other
hand, had no baby!


🙂 💁🏻‍♀ 👍🏼
She might have been
satisfied and content,
because she had
a good man. He cared.
He was considerate.
He gave her the best.



👩🏼‍🦱 😛 🙍🏻‍♀💭👶🏻
But Peninnah was there
to remind Hannah that
there was something
missing in her life.


🧟‍♀ 🗯⚡️
Peninnah provoked.
Peninnah perturbed.
Peninnah persisted.



🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🏃🏻‍♀🏃🏻‍♀
Peninnah pushed Hannah
to prayer.
Intense Prayer!




🙏🏻 🛐 🙆🏻‍♀ 😫
And Hannah's intense Prayer
birthed her blessing.
A bouncing baby boy destined
to be a Prophet of God.

Hannah later had five
more children,
by the grace of God,
three sons and
two daughters!
