They aren't afraid of bad news
because they rely totally on the Lord.

He is not afraid of bad news.
His heart remains secure,
full of confidence in the LORD.

He need not fear a bad report,
for his heart is unshaken,
since he trusts in the Lord.
(ISV)
°
A bad report can shake you up real good!
Bad news can make your heart anxious
and afraid.
Some people collapse when
a bad message comes in.
Some people 'lose it',
Others are left in a daze for days!
.........................................................
But God is preparing our hearts.
And strengthening our souls.
°
It won't impact you, as bad.
It won't break you down.
°
You'll be like the man in Psalm 112.
He is not afraid of bad tidings.
His heart is FIXED (KJV).
◼️ Fixed in the Hebrew, means Stable.
It means Secure.
It also means Ready or Prepared!
His heart is ready, when they break the bad news.
When the announcement is given, his heart is prepared.
And stable.
◼️ Fixed in English, means repaired, mended.
Or you could say, healed.
A fixed heart.
A healed heart!
Fixed also means focused.
You need to focus on the Lord.
Leaning on Him.
Leeeeaaaannniiinnng!

May God heal your heart.
HE is the STRENGTH of your heart.

need oil!
In the kitchen, Mama uses oil.
At the repair shop, oil.
Looking into her mirror,
combing her hair,
sister-girl, applies oil.

Oil is even used as a healing balm.

Hey, your door is creaking!
Go get you some oil.

And so on ...

Well, Christians need oil too!
It's the Holy Spirit!
Zechariah Ch 4 gives us this
notable quote:
It's not by power, (human power)
It's not by human might,
but by My Spirit,
says the LORD of hosts.
(vs. 6)

After His Resurrection,
Jesus emphasized the need
for His disciples to wait
in Jerusalem for the
advent of the Holy Ghost!
°
They would receive power
to be His witnesses, and take
the Gospel to the World.
°
Prayer, Bible reading, Worship,
Singing, walking in your Calling,
and everything else God has
given us to do, is done
effectively and powerfully
by being filled with the Holy Spirit.
°
You need Him.
You need the Holy Spirit.
He is a Comforter.
He is a Companion.
He is a Strengthener.
He is The Anointing.
He is Oil.
