" Go in this your might "

📜
In Judges 6
We find an encouraging
Bible character.

🧔🏻‍♂
His name is Gideon.

🤷🏻‍♂
He doesn't feel qualified.

👇
But God still chooses the
weak, that He may show
Himself strong.

......................................................

What has God called you to do?

🏃🏻
GO!

Go in the strength you have.

Gideon.

Gideon is an encouraging Bible character.

And the LORD looked upon him, and said,
Go in this thy might,
and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
(Judges 6:14 (KJV)

Gideon was full of potential, but life had beaten and bruised him.

He settled for the low place.

But God saw him for who he really was.

God sees you as you really are:
~ not as your parents saw you
~ not as your siblings saw you
~ not as your class Teacher saw you
~ and many times, not even as you see yourself!

You may see yourself as a failure,
a drop-out, a single mother, a broke man, a tired labourer, a hopeless case.
You may see yourself through the lens of your mistakes, your brokenness, your
inadequacies, your weaknesses.

But God sees you from another angle!

Gideon is a great encouragement.

He went from least-likely to succeed,
to mighty man of valour.

That's what God called him: "a mighty
man of valour."

You will find out what God calls you,
when you read His Word.
The Scriptures will show you who
you really are.

Your environment may not tell you who you are.
Your circumstances may not tell you who you really are.
Your childhood and upbringing may not tell you who you really are.
Your broken relationships may not tell you who you really are.
Your Bank account may not tell you who
you really are.

°
Gideon was hustling and surviving in a winepress, threshing wheat.

Suddenly an angel came out of nowhere,
and called him a mighty man of valour.

What! Me?

He had forgotten who he really was.
He forgot his dreams and his desires.

He needed God's Word to remind him
who he really was, and what he could really do.

Israel had enemies.
Gideon had enemies: Midianites

You have enemies.
You have enemies to your true self!
Midianites.

But immediately Gideon mentioned "Midianites",
God gave him a job.

These Midianites are also My enemies,
they oppress My people, and make them live a life that is less than what I want for them.

Let's GO get these Midianites.

Infact, let's get rid of them!

Gideon, Go in this your might.

"Might" sounds like "Potential".

Might = Potential

°
In other words, Gideon, you have
the potential to do great things,
you have the potential to overcome
the enemy, you have the potential
to get the victory.

°
Brother /Sister, YOU HAVE POTENTIAL!

You have the potential to pass your exams.
You have the potential to occupy that good job.
You have the potential to prosper in business.
You have the potential to succeed in ministry.
You have the potential to make it in life.
You have the potential to be a good marriage partner.
You have the potential to travel.
You have the potential to change the world.

°
Gideon was broken, bruised, beaten.
But he had potential.

The Lord saw it.

He said, Gideon, Go.

Go with this potential.

Let's turn potential into reality

Like in Physics, potential energy
is turned into kinetic energy!

Gideon, it's time to Go.

Go for your dream.
Go for your heart's desire.
Go for your calling.
Go for your divine purpose.
Go for your life's mission.

Go, in this your might.

Your might, might look little.

Your might seems small.

Compare your might, with the Midianites!

Your might is minute.
Your might is miniscule.
Your might is micro.

But even if it looks little, and
seems small, give God your
might.

I might be able.
I might succeed.
I might pass.
I might make it.
I might become something.
I might prosper.
I might get a good person.
I might reach my dream.
I might influence the world.

I might.

Give God your might!

Gideon, God will use YOUR might.

It's interesting, God didn't tell Gideon:
"Gideon, go with MY Might."

God is AlMighty.
God's Might is Mega.

But the Scripture says, it's not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit.
°
How do you explain this?
°

God said, "Gideon, Go
in YOUR might!"

That's because God wants to use
two mights.

Not one might!
°
It's not by might = it's not by ONE might.
°
°
You have to give your might
to God.
He then adds His Might!

Then the job gets done.

If your might is 5%
God will add 95% of His Might.
If your might is 40%
God will add 60% of His Might.

If your might is 70%
God will add you 30%
of His Might.

Your might + His Might = 2 Mights.

There was a widow who gave an offering in the Temple.

She only put in two mites!

Luke 21:2-4
And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
°
Her Two Mites were More
than all the offerings of the rich!
°

Someone said,
"Do what you can,
with what you have."

And do it now! Gideon!

GO, in this your might!

And let's save Israel from the hand
of the Midianites.

📜
Isaiah 61

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me
because the LORD has anointed Me
to preach the Gospel to the poor;

He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

To preach the acceptable year of the LORD
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all that mourn;

To appoint to those who mourn in Zion,
giving them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

that they might be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified."

Isaiah 61:1-3 (AFV)
