Acts 7:10

And delivered him (Joseph) out of all his afflictions,
and gave him favour and wisdom
in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt;
and he made him governor
over Egypt and all his house.

This is Stephen talking about Joseph,
in Acts Ch 7.
.
He says, The Lord gave Joseph FAVOUR AND WISDOM!
..
What an interesting combination!
..
In Esther Ch 2:17 The Bible says
Esther obtained GRACE AND FAVOUR!
..
.
Both Esther and Joseph were promoted
to top positions in a foreign country!
.
And both of them NEEDED FAVOUR!
.
You and I are strangers and aliens
in this world!
.
But God's Favour will surround us
like a shield!
.
Amen.
.
But whereas Esther combined Favour with Grace,
Joseph needed WISDOM to accompany his Favour.
.
There are situations where Favour is not enough!
.
You might be favoured and promoted to a higher
level of influence, but you will need Wisdom to
avoid certain snares and traps.
You will need Wisdom to maintain or sustain
the Favour.
You will need Wisdom because of enemy
attack.
You will need Wisdom to look ahead
when things change.
And like Laban with Jacob,
people's countenances
will not be for you as before.

They can say Hossanna on Palm Sunday,
but on Good Friday they say Crucify Him.
.
..
But notice that Stephen, commenting about Joseph,
says that, The Lord delivered Joseph OUT OF ALL
his afflictions!!
..
This was also David's testimony in Psalm 34.
..
And it is your testimony today!
..
Your finances may be low.
Your job may be unfulfilling.
Your relationship may be in a season.
Your country may be in political turmoil.
..
BUT GOD HAS DELIVERED YOU THIS FAR,
AND HE WILL DELIVER YOU OUT OF ALL
YOUR AFFLICTIONS!
..
Amen.
..
That's what Paul said in 2 Corinthians Ch1 vs. 10
..
Who delivered us from so great a death,
and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
..
That is Past, Present and also Future!
..
Hallelujah!
..
.
It's not The End until God draws The Curtain.
And God has not yet drawn The Curtain.
