In Genesis 16
Hagar quit and left.

Tired and thirsty in the hot desert,
she stopped at a well for some water.

But she met someone at the well who changed her attitude and changed the direction she had taken.



🏃🏻‍♀ 🪣💦
Just like the Samaritan woman
who dropped her bucket and went back to the city,
Hagar dropped her wayward
agenda, and went back to the place she belonged.

The Angel of the Lord will meet you halfway.
Between the place you're supposed to be,
and the place of destruction.

He'll stop you going in the wrong way,
and speak the truth to you in love.



He is Hagar's Angel.

In Genesis 21
Sarah is finally a mother!

She gave birth to a bouncing
baby boy, Isaac.

Sarah said, God has made me
to laugh, and those who hear
about this will also laugh.

The time came for Isaac to be
weaned.

That's where Hagar's cry started!

Sarah saw Ishmael mocking Isaac!


🥾 🙍🏻‍♀🧑🏻‍🦱
For Sarah, the only solution
was to kick out Hagar as well as Ishmael!


💁🏻‍♀
Hagar had stayed with Abraham and Sarah for thirteen years.
It was ever since her encounter with the Lord.

But now she was being thrown out!

We now find her in the desert,
with an empty water bottle,
and Ishmael under a bush.

Hagar was given a prophecy.

Without ultrasound she was told
that the baby in her womb was a boy.

She was given his name and told
what type of person he would be.


She called the Lord, El Roi.

He sees!
He sees into your life.
He sees into your spirit.
He sees into your future.

Hagar's Baby, was Ishmael.

Ishmael was different.
Ishmael was unconventional.
Ishmael was non-conformist.
Ishmael was an independent thinker.
Ishmael went against the grain.
Ishmael broke the rules.
Ishmael wrecked the protocol.
Ishmael ruined the party.
Ishmael was a wild one.
Ishmael was untameable.

There was only one solution
for Ishmael!
There was only one answer
for Ishmael!
