" YOU are the man! "
π€ That's the title
of our Lunch Hour
Preaching Message
today!
π
In 2 Samuel 12
Nathan the Prophet
was sent to King David.
π£ β
Nathan told David
a story about a
certain man who had
acted wrongfully
towards another.
π€
David was in a backslidden
condition and reacted
in anger, JUDGING
the man in the story.
ππ»π―
That's when Nathan
pointed out that
David himself
was the man
in the story!
_____________
π
So often,
our hearts are quick
to be negative and
judgmental
towards others.
__________
π
James spoke some
stern words:
"It is for God to judge, not for us.
Never pull each other to pieces, my brothers.
If you do you are judging your brother
and setting yourself up in the place of Godβs Law;
you have become in fact a critic of the Law.
Yet if you start to criticise the Law
instead of obeying it you are setting yourself up
as judge, and there is only one judge,
the one who gave the Law, to whom belongs
absolute power of life and death.
How can you then be so silly as to imagine that
you are your neighbourβs judge?"
(James 4.11-12 Phillips)
