#Brentford High Street - A Tragic Tale Of Pub Decline - Including Alfred Pearce's Poem On Brentford's Pubs

(1080p version) for Telegram/Twitter

The example of Brentford's loss of Pubs is a frightening insight into the future of a very bland #Britain. The once bustling high street served the many dockers and traders who brought the place to life. Like most places in #London and it's suburbs, we've too many lost tales to ever truly tell. 🍻

The Laboursome Stairs of #Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
(1080p Edition for Telegram)

🎙 @VinnieSullivan

The capital of #Scotland isn't just a stunning city but a historic gem of monumental importance. The harships of Edinburgh were worsened by its noticeably difficult terrain. To this day, #Pubs still have to haul kegs up Edinburgh's old stairs by hand. This is the story of Edinburghs' unique design and the effects it still has until today.

The debate of which is the greatest Whisky plagues us all. I'm here to remind you and the naysayers that Scotch is utterly supreme.

#Resurrectionists - Grave Diggers of the Medical Industry 🩸 ☠️ #GreyfriarsKirkyard #Edinburgh #Scotland

1080p for X/Telegram

This is a special feature covering a dark, sinister topic that occurred during the medical industries early breakthroughs. Pubs from #Edinburgh to #London would be an incredibly dangerous place to show signs of illness or to discuss a family death. The murders of #BurkeAndHare exposed a sickening trade that was promoted by a morally corrupt medical industry. Join me in one of Scotlands beautiful kirkyards to discuss an embarrassing, disturbing secret of Britain's academic and criminal past.

This pub and the stories linked to it are of incredible significance to the history of #Scotland, #Britain and the beauty of the written word. Join me as I briefly discuss what makes this pub and the subjects within so incredibly special. I've tried to keep it short but could have said so much more what with this public house being in such an iconic location.

The Social and Cultural Significance of #Britain’s Pubs 🤝

The public house has always been the difference between company and loneliness. This new world that takes comfort in the falseness of technology gives not a thought to what made the people we miss the most, so memorable, and so wholesome.

This painting by Charles William Wyllie depicts the Angel pub in #Rotherhithe, South #London (c.1887) [101 #Bermondsey Wall E, #London #SE16]. Like many riverside pubs, it was a den of cut-throats & press gangs. It sits on what was once the manor house of King Edward III (1300s).

Hitchcock's 'Frenzy' is a heartwarming view into 70s #London. One needn't even follow the plot to be lost in its nostalgic views and insights. It's brilliant, macabre plot takes nothing from its quaint brilliance. Various spots like the ones we include are scattered all over London, waiting to be rediscovered. The Grapes #Limehouse, East #London, #E14

(1080p [Low Quality] for Telegram)

The regenerated, former Docklands of #Limehouse are a prime example of historic, industrial warehousing becoming expensive, residential buildings. @TheGrapesLondon sits among the many old buildings that remind us of the busy Docklands and its many historic subjects. Its very existence, both inside and out, provides a beautiful view into a tragic and fascinating past.

Welsh Harp 🍻 - Market Sq, #WalthamAbbey, #Essex, #EN9

[1080p]
FULL 🎞 (High Quality)

#WalthamAbbey is a treasure trove of fascinating history. This gorgeously wonky pub building may well date back to the foundations of the Abbey itself, though it's difficult to say. The welcoming landlord, landlady, their daughter, and their charming barmaid welcomed and aided us in our project. We'd like to thank them not just for our welcome but for saving a pub we'd thought we'd lost. Instead of listing endless historical facts, I'll say watch the full video and, if possible, visit this charming public house while it's kind are still here to enjoy.

Sing Along With @DeanoRifles777 (Madness - It Must Be Love) 🎼
1080p Edition

A sing along to raise a smile. After a busy day of recording songs @DeanoRifles777 brought the pub to life with his inclusive singalongs. Though we've recorded this track before, a sing along gives it an entirely different feel.

A fine day with @ChelseaDan5 and a host of amazing musicians. 🎹

I've (@VinnieSull1van) been toasting to celibacy for years, at the end you'll hear @DeanoRifles777 repeating what he thought was a passing comment, but this was a term used among myself and my friends for many years. We thoroughly respect, and enjoy the company of this fine selection of good humoured and talented people. May the future bring good things for all those involved.

Memories aren't made through dreams or fantasty, but by living out the very moments that become dreams all to themselves. 🤝
