I love holidays. They are the best thing in the world. The only problem is they are always too short. Even summer holidays at school aren't long enough. I recently had an eight-week holiday and it flew by. It seems as though time goes quickly when we are on holiday and slowly when we are at school or work. I always really look forward to holidays. Even one-day holidays are great. I live in a country that has many national holidays, so there's always a break around the corner. I feel sorry for some workers who only get two or three weeks holiday a year. They can't do anything or go anywhere. I love holidays, even if I don't go away. Staying at home is just as good as going on holiday somewhere. Sometimes going on holiday is stressful.

The word 'occurred' informs someone that something has come to mind or has been found. You are letting someone know that you suddenly have thought or remembered about something.

🔺Here are some examples:

Using the word 'had' or 'has' can change what you are saying to represent something remembered in a past time.

Stop using the wrong tense

🤔 In English, using the wrong tense can completely change the meaning of a sentence 📖 or even make it confusing or incorrect.
😏 Imagine saying ❌“Did you went?” instead of “✅Did you go?” it’s a small mistake, but it instantly signals poor grammar and weak communication 🚫

1. After "did", don't use past tense. Use base form.

❪✘❫ Did you went to school yesterday?
❪✓❫ Did you go to school yesterday?

❪✘❫ I did not went to school yesterday.
❪✓❫ I did not go to school yesterday.

⚠️Note: After did, always use the base verb (go, eat, play). Not the past form.

📔 Extra Tip: "Did" already shows past tense, so there's no need to repeat it by using a past verb.
📆Think of it like this: Saying "Did you went" is like saying "Did you did go" it’s too much!

📔 Extra Tip: Modal verbs are powerful helpers — they already set the tense and mood. Let the main verb stay simple.

4. Wrong tense after past verb.

⚠️Note: If the first verb is in past, the second verb should also be in past.

📔 Extra Tip: Keep the timeline consistent. If the main action happened in the past, the related action should match it.

5. Use "would" not "will" after past verb.
