Mr Orwell: And we really need a flexible sort of person. Do you think she is?

⚠️ Note: Also:
– shake with fear
– shiver with excitement

73. Warn of danger, not about danger

❪✘❫ They were warned about the danger.
❪✓❫ They were warned of danger.
⚠️ Note:
– Use warn about for specific things:
 They warned us about the bumps in the road.
– Use warn against for faults:
 His teacher warned him against breaking the rules.

74. Write in ink, not with ink

❪✘❫ I've written the letter with ink.
❪✓❫ I've written the letter in ink.
⚠️ Note:
– Use in for the final result:
 The drawing was done in charcoal.
– Use with for the tool:
 The children are learning to write with a pen.
