Important Updates to GitHub Copilot for Students

To our student community,
At GitHub, we believe the next generation of developers should have access to the latest industry technology. That’s why we provide students with free access to the GitHub Student Developer Pack, run the Campus Experts program to help student leaders build tech communities, and partner with Major League Hacking (MLH) and Hack Club  to support student hackathons and youth-led coding communities. It’s also why we offer verified students free access to GitHub Copilot—today, nearly two million students are using it to build, learn, and explore new ideas.
Copilot is evolving quickly, with new capabilities, models, and experiences shipping fast. As Copilot evolves and the student community continues to grow, we need to make some adjustments to ensure we can provide sustainable, long-term GitHub Copilot access to students worldwide.
Our commitment to providing free access to GitHub Copilot for verified students is not changing. What is changing is how Copilot is packaged and managed for students.
What this means for you
Starting today, March 12, 2026, your Copilot access will be managed under a new GitHub Copilot Student plan, alongside your existing GitHub Education benefits. Your academic verification status will not change, and there is nothing you need to do to continue using Copilot. You will see that you are on the GitHub Copilot Student plan in the UI, and your existing premium request unit (PRU) entitlements will remain unchanged.
As part of this transition, however, some premium models, including GPT-5.4, and Claude Opus and Sonnet models, will no longer be available for self-selection under the GitHub Copilot Student Plan. We know this will be disappointing, but we’re making this change so we can keep Copilot free and accessible for millions of students around the world.
That said, through Auto mode, you’ll continue to have access to a powerful set of models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. We’ll keep adding new models and expanding the intelligence that helps match the right model to your task and workflow. We support a global community of students across thousands of universities and dozens of time zones, so we’re being intentional about how we roll out changes. Over the coming weeks, we will be making additional adjustments to available models or usage limits on certain features—the specifics of which we’ll be testing with your feedback. You may notice temporary changes to your Copilot experience during this period. We will make sure to share full details and timelines before we ship broader changes.

Your experience matters to us, and your feedback will directly shape how this plan evolves. Share your thoughts on GitHub Discussions—what’s working, what gets in the way, and what you need most. 这两天折腾了一套 Bambu 打印机本地控制，终于把最核心的几件事跑通了：

本地查打印状态
本地暂停打印
本地继续打印
本地停止打印
本地上传模型并启动打印

发出来给后来的人避坑。
先说结论：

2025 之后的新固件下，很多 print 类本地 MQTT 命令，不能只发裸 JSON 了。真正关键是“签名”。


1. 我一开始踩的坑
一开始我也以为和网上很多旧资料一样，直接往这个 topic 发 JSON 就行：
device/<serial>/request

比如暂停：

停止：

格式本身没错，但我实际遇到的问题是：

MQTT 能连上
topic 也没写错
JSON 也发出去了
打印机就是没反应

当时特别像“看起来一切都对了，但就是不执行”。

2. 真正原因：不是 JSON 错了，是缺签名
后来才确认，问题不是 pause/resume 这些字段写错，而是：
新固件要求认证 / 签名
也就是说，很多本地 print 类命令要带：

签名头
cert_id
payload 长度
有时还带 user_id

所以现在不是你知道：

MQTT 端口
access code
topic
payload

就一定能控。
真正缺的是：

带 X.509 / RSA-SHA256 签名的那层实现


3. 基础信息先放这里
如果你是 Bambu 这类机型（A1 / A1 mini / P1 / X1），本地常见是：
端口

8883：MQTT 控制
990：FTPS 上传
6000：视频流

MQTT 常见连接参数

host：打印机局域网 IP
port：8883
username：bblp
password：打印机屏幕上的 LAN access code
TLS：开启
topic：

请求：device/<serial>/request
状态：device/<serial>/report



这些参数本身通常没问题。
问题在于：后续固件要签名。

4. 所以我的做法：不再手搓 raw MQTT，直接复用现成签名实现
我最后的思路变成了：

不再继续硬猜 payload 有没有多一个字段
不再继续盲试 topic 变种
直接复用一个已经处理好签名逻辑的本地实现

这样 pause / resume / stop / status / project_file 这些才真正稳定下来。
说白了就是：

重点不是“会不会发 MQTT”，而是“能不能发出打印机认可的签名命令”。


5. 最后真正跑通了哪些功能
目前已经实测通过的有：
（1）查询打印状态
能查到：

是否在打印
进度百分比
剩余时间
当前层数
当前打印文件名
喷嘴温度
热床温度
AMS 状态

这个很有用，建议先打通它。

（2）暂停打印
本地直接暂停成功。

（3）继续打印
本地继续打印成功。

（4）停止打印
本地停止当前任务成功。

（5）上传 3MF 并启动打印
也已经能跑通，流程是：

用 FTPS 把 3MF 上传到打印机
再发 project_file 命令启动打印

这个是整套链路里最关键的一步。

6. 如果你现在还在卡“resume 发出去没反应”
我强烈建议你优先怀疑这个：
不是你 resume 拼错了
而是你发的还是未签名命令。
尤其是这种情况很典型：

MQTT 连上了
report 也能收
状态也能看
但 pause/resume/stop 不执行

这种时候，十有八九就是：

读状态可以，写控制不行
因为控制命令被新固件卡签名了。


7. 启动打印时我最后固定的默认参数
我这边后来也顺手把默认参数固定了一下，比较适合日常自动控制：

动态流量校准：开
延时摄影：关
自动热床调平：关

对应就是：

这个不是说人人都得照抄，
只是如果你也在做“本地自动启动打印”，可以先有一组稳定默认值。

8. 启动 3MF 时常见 payload 长这样
大概像这样：

这里面比较关键的是：

command: project_file
param: Metadata/plate_1.gcode
url: file:///sdcard/...
flow_cali
timelapse
bed_leveling

但注意，payload 长这样不等于 raw 发就能用。
还是那句话：关键是签名。

9. 上传文件这边也有一个小坑
上传通常走 FTPS（990）。
我这边遇到过一种情况：

FTP 库偶尔会超时
但换成 curl --ftp-ssl-reqd 又能成功

所以我的建议是：
文件上传要做双保险

优先走正常 FTP/FTPS 客户端
如果失败，就自动 fallback 到 curl

这样会稳很多。

10. 推荐一个最小落地方案
如果你只是想把“本地控制”做通，我建议最少分成两个脚本：
脚本 1：控制脚本
负责：

pause
resume
stop
status

脚本 2：启动打印脚本
负责：

上传文件
启动 project_file
带默认打印参数

不要一上来就把所有逻辑都糊成一个超级大脚本。
拆开之后排错和维护都容易很多。

11. 我觉得最值得分享的坑点
坑 1：topic 和 JSON 对，不代表打印机会执行
这个真的是最容易浪费时间的点。
坑 2：能查状态，不代表能控打印
这是两回事。
读权限和写权限/签名要求，后续固件已经不是一个难度了。
坑 3：不要继续沉迷“多试几个 topic 变种”
如果你已经试过：

device/<serial>/request
printer/<serial>/command
各种 pause/resume

还是没反应，就别继续盲猜了。
十有八九已经不是 topic 问题，而是签名问题。
坑 4：真正难的是认证层，不是 MQTT 本身
这一点一定要心理预期拉满。

12. 适合什么人参考这套方法
适合你如果：

想本地控制 Bambu 打印机
想做暂停 / 继续 / 停止 / 状态查询
想做本地自动启动打印
能接受折腾局域网和脚本
不想只靠官方 App / Studio 点按钮

如果你只是偶尔手动打印，其实没必要折腾这么深。

13. 一句话总结

Bambu 本地控制现在最难的不是“知道 command 写 pause 还是 resume”，而是“怎么发出被新固件认可的签名命令”。
一旦签名链路打通，暂停、继续、停止、查状态、启动打印就都顺了。

本来今天想把 Zeabur 上的 n8n 迁到本地，顺手把数据持久化这块也理一理。结果第一步就爆炸了：n8n服务挂的域名打不开，但同容器下其他服务都是可访问的 
那一刻我心都凉了，脑子里已经把最坏的情况都想像完了，难道是n8n有啥漏洞我没补被扫了，然后就是一顿排查：容器里 n8n 进程还活着，本地 127.0.0.1:5678 能通，甚至容器里直接访问公网域名也是200 
查到最后我人都沉默了，不是服务挂了，是 Clash 路由规则把这个域名配成了直连。一切换全局代理，秒开。
