❓Question:
— Is it okay to have mint to keep my breath fresh during Ramadan?

— There is a friend of mine who is a new revert, his parents are not Muslim (hindu) and are unaware of his Islam. Is it permissible for him to avoid fasting on a few days here and there to avoid suspicion. He usually used the excuse of university work and comes home late, but he is unable to do this on the weekends.
Note that he doesnt think there will be very severe consequences if they found out, but they would likely make him break his fast or give him a hard time about him converting.
