From the Mannerisms of a Student With an Elder or a Shaykh:

1- To not raise his voice around him.

2- To not preceed him in speech.

3- To not reject his advice even if he sees another opinion (to be correct).

4- To listen to him if he speaks and to not let anything distract him from him.
