🎙️Shaykh Abu Atiyah
Shaykh Bakr Abu Zayd رحمه الله said

“Our Shaykh Muhammad al-Ameen ash-Shinqeetee who died on 17/ 12/1393H رحمه الله, took very little from this worldly life, and I used to see him and he could not differentiate between the values of different [notes within the same] currency, and he once said to me: "I came from my country (Shingeet [Mauritania]) and with me is a treasure that is very seldom found in the possession of anyone, and it is contentment, and if I wanted high status, I would have known the way to achieve it, but I chose not to exchange this worldly life for the hereafter, and I do not give my knowledge to attain worldly desires."

Key Advice For Brothers Regarding Dawah By Shaykh Abu Atiyah حفظه الله (Summary from today's lecture - closing Advice - 18-Jumada Al- Ula 1447AH)

❖ Prioritize unity and helping one another in taqwa (righteousness), not in sin or transgression.

❖ Even if your group is small, the people are in need of your efforts.

❖ Step forward to support your brothers by: Giving khutbahs, Teaching lessons, Helping in any beneficial work inside or outside the masjid, according to your ability. Doing this sincerely—not for fame.

❖ We live in a difficult time, so everyone’s contribution is valuable.

❖ Those who can travel abroad to acquire ilm of the Shari’ah should do so, so they can return and teach it to others.

❖ Attending and benefiting from such majalis is crucial; think also of those outside who are wasting their time in worldly distractions—who is going to help them? We need to organize ourselves, make a plan, support the Ikhwan in charge, and put forward our ideas.

❖ Support those who organize and plan community activities. Even if someone lacks knowledge, they may bring valuable skills or ideas—accept the khair from them.

❖ Utilize everyone’s abilities.
Example: Someone may have a connection to a hospital and can give you access to visit sick people—take advantage of that.
So, avoid restricting participation to a small circle—everyone with good intentions should be included.

❖ Be humble; acknowledge the good ideas of others by saying “جزاك الله خيرا” and try to implement them.

❖ Not everyone will be perfect; learn to benefit from both scholars and laymen alike.

❖ Do not belittle anyone. Try to benefit from everyone, and also strive to help others benefit.
