Sheikh Abu Atiyyah حفظه الله said:
From time to time, many of us suffer from stress, anxiety, and depression in our lives. We find ourselves overwhelmed by thought, and in our souls, there is a sense of emptiness which haunts us. As the days and nights pass, apathy replaces enthusiasm and we continue to feel miserable about ourselves, but worst of all, we do not know where to turn. In search of a cure for these spiritual and emotional challenges, some resort to doctors and conventional medications where tablets and serums are apt.
While others attempt to solve their problems by turning to counselling and psychotherapy, which open more doors than they close. However, the sad reality is that very few of us remember to turn to Allah in our times of difficulty.
We believe in Allah and know that He is the All-Knowing and All-Powerful. We know He hears our calls and answers our supplications and that there is nothing too big or too difficult for Him, yet we are swayed from His mercy in search of solutions when the answer is right in front of us.
