To enter, participants must submit a brief title, a short narrative of up to 150 words, and a set of three distinct photographs capturing the food itself, the locations where it is sourced or consumed, and the people involved in preparing, serving, or eating it. Submissions should document everyday moments illustrating how urban residents access and enjoy food that supports overall health and well-being.
The submission deadline for the contest is 17 June 2026, ahead of the official African CityFood Month event in July. Following the evaluation of entries, three chosen winners will each receive a cash prize of $500 USD. Full competition guidelines, eligibility criteria, and submission forms can be accessed directly through the official website at afrifoodlinks.org/photography-showcase.
