Written by Kidus Yohannes, the feature dives inside the creative songwriting camp that brought together over 20 artists and producers including Blèn, Ebne Hakim, Ife, Yazzqal, Rumi, Iri Di, and Nizo. From nostalgic washint openings and modern hip-hop fusion to Wolayta-inspired drum rhythms on standalone tracks like "Sodo", the project offers a first peek into what the future of Ethiopian music identity could look like.

A workshop titled "Traces of Our Own: Art, Gender & Creation for Ethiopian Women Artists" will take place from November 20 to 23, 2026.
