Videobet will host a four-film retrospective titled "Studies in Humanity: The Films of Sewmehon Yismaw" from 22 May to 20 June 2026 at its Meskel Square location inside the Red Terror Martyrs Museum.
The event highlights the career of the Ethiopian filmmaker by screening four of his prominent works: Ewir Amora Kelabi, Sons of Sunrise, Sewnetwa, and Aleme. In addition to the screenings, the program features a question-and-answer session with the director.
The retrospective opens on Friday, May 22, with tiered ticket pricing based on age. Regular admission is available for 350 ETB, while attendees under the age of 22 can purchase tickets for 250 ETB. A further discounted rate of 150 ETB is offered for individuals under 18.
