On 20 December 2025, Adey Music and St. George Beer is hosting a musical event featuring performances by Haile Roots, Yomarios, Jemberu Demeke, and Mashela Boy.

An event titled Bridging Communities: A Trans-Atlantic Discussion on Reparations in the Modern Era is taking place on 20 December 2025 at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum Meeting Hall. Organized by CARICOM Nationals in Ethiopia in collaboration with the Global Black Centre.
The featured speakers include Ambassador David Comissiong of Barbados, who will participate virtually, alongside Ato Tsegaye Chama, the Secretary-General of the Global Black Centre, and Dr. Yitna Gebre from the Institute of Foreign Affairs. The discussion will be moderated by Nikita Shiel-Rolle of YME Bahamas.
The event will take place from 2pm - 4pm and is open for the public.

Ethiopian Film Alazar Wins Top Prize at Dakar Court 2025
Ethiopian filmmaker Beza Hailu Lemma has won the Grand Prix at the 8th Dakar Court International Short Film Festival, held in Senegal, with his acclaimed short film Alazar. The 36-minute film was honored with the festival’s highest award during the closing ceremony at the Pathe Mermoz cinema in Dakar, where his work also earned the Prix Ababacar Samb Makharam for Best Directing.
Alazar, written and directed by Beza, follows the story of a rural Ethiopian community whose daily exodus is disrupted by the mysterious disappearance of a family patriarch from his grave. The narrative explores deep themes of faith, reason, and mysticism as the patriarch’s son, Tessema, rejects traditional religious explanations and seeks his own truth.

The program aims to support early-stage startups developing circular economy solutions that contribute to Ethiopia's green growth.
Selected participants will receive expert one-on-one coaching, peer learning opportunities, and market entry support. Additionally, the program offers equity-free funding of up to 10,000 USD to help businesses scale their operations and environmental impact.
The application deadline is 31 December 2025. This initiative provides a platform for local innovators to refine their business models and transition into impactful enterprises.
