I’ve finished setting up authentication, got the user session and added a guarded route to verify email before navigating to Home with access to the user session via the current user provider.

I often use pgAdmin’s ERD diagram tool. I’m a very visual person, so seeing the database structure laid out as diagrams really helps me understand relationships, spot issues early, and think more clearly about the schema.

💭 Ethio Telecom vs Yegara (From Real Experience)

Today I deployed a Next.js website for a client, and honestly… I was surprised.

I used Ethio Telecom’s Golden Premium hosting, and before this, I really thought Ethio Telecom had one of the worst web servers out there. I even recommended Yegara to the client at first because I had used it a couple of times before.

But things didn’t go the way I expected.

🚫 Why the client rejected Yegara
The client wasn’t technical, and their concern was simple:

“It’s a private hosting service. What if something goes wrong? Who do we rely on?”

Fair point.
So they said: “We’ll buy the server. You just deploy it.”

They bought Ethio Telecom hosting, gave me access, domain handed over — and I deployed.

😤 My past experience with Yegara
Coming from ecosystems like Vercel, Heroku, Render… Yagara honestly feels painful:

• No automatic deployment
• Manual server restarts every time you push changes
• Stop server → run server again → hope nothing breaks

And the biggest issue:

Sometimes when you try to stop or restart the server, it freezes and never stops.

At that point:
You can’t do anything yourself
You have to contact support manually
Wait for them to “check something on their side”
Back and forth messages, wasted time, frustration

Yes, it works eventually — but the process is exhausting, especially when you’re just trying to deploy a simple update.

😮 The surprise: Ethio Telecom cPanel
I didn’t expect this, but Ethio Telecom’s cPanel experience was actually smooth:

• Clean UI
• Built-in Version Control (Git)
• Easy SSH access
• Straightforward server management

And to be clear and honest:

I did NOT set up any automation.

What I actually did was simple:

Pulled the latest code from Git inside cPanel
Built the project directly there
Restarted the server
Boom — changes were live. Voilà. Easy peasy.

No scripts. No CI/CD. No tricks.

And compared to my Yegara experience, this felt much more stable and predictable.

🛠 About automation
Right now, I didn’t automate anything.
But looking at cPanel:

There’s clearly room to add automation later if needed.
The tools are there — I just didn’t go that route this time.

✅ Final thoughts
I never thought I’d say this, but:

Ethio Telecom hosting turned out better than Yegara for my use case.

Especially if:
• To see changes right away
• You want fewer “call support” moments
• You just want deployments to work without drama

📢 Recommendation
For Ethiopian developers building client projects:

Go with the Golden Premium packages
cPanel + Git + simple build/restart flow is surprisingly solid

It’s not perfect.
It’s not cloud-native magic.
But it’s way better than I assumed — and honestly, less stressful than Yagara.
