TrackerControl allows users to monitor and control the widespread, ongoing, hidden data collection in mobile apps about user behaviour (‘tracking’).

To detect tracking, TrackerControl combines the power of the Disconnect blocklist, used by Firefox, and our in-house blocklist is used, created from analysing ~2 000 000 apps! Additionally, TrackerControl supports custom blocklists.

💡 This approach

👉🏼 reveals the companies behind tracking,

👉🏼 allows to block tracking selectively, and

👉🏼 exposes the purposes of tracking, such as analytics or advertising.

The app also aims to educate about your rights under Data Protection Law, such the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Under the hood, TrackerControl uses Android’s VPN functionality, to analyse apps’ network communications locally on the Android device. This is accomplished through a local VPN server, to enable network traffic analysis by TrackerControl.

💡 No root is required, other VPNs or Private DNS are not supported. No external VPN server is used, to keep your data safe! TrackerControl even protects you against DNS cloaking, a popular technique to hide trackers in websites and apps.

TrackerControl will always be free and open source, being a research project.

A sane network protocol for email, to end attacks and promote productivity.

Email has become a universal cybercrime portal. It allows anyone, claiming any identity, to send you any content, any number of times. And it’s long been an obstacle to productivity and effective communication. Many apps & services have offered to replace it. But email is a network of diverse software & sites. A network can’t be replaced by a product or service.

The mnm project enables a new email network: a sane, simple protocol, a client, and a server. It’s designed for everyone, but especially:

👉🏼 Organizations where a phishing attack could be catastrophic. Examples: manufacturing, public infrastructure, government, finance, research & development, information technology.

👉🏼 Services and websites whose clients dislike the message scanning done by webmail providers. Examples: legal affairs, health care, job search, family matters.

💡 mnm has two major goals:

1) To provide a far safer correspondence model, where you:

+ choose the organizations/sites that relay your correspondence
+ select which members of a site can correspond with you
+ always know from which site a message originated
+ can block anyone with whom you’ve made contact
+ may leave a site and never see traffic from it again

2) To offer capabilities missing in traditional email, including:

+ hyperlinks to messages and other threads
+ hashtags and private tags

SagerNet ---- a universal proxy tool for Android

A week ago, due to dissatisfaction that almost all agents on Android are closed source (except shadowsocks-android); already closed source and pretending to be open source (v2rayNG), I started to make this tool.
