Windows 10 AME (Ameliorated)

Windows 10 AME aims at delivering a stable, non-intrusive yet fully functional build of Windows 10 to anyone, who requires the Windows operating system natively. Spyware systems, which are abundant in Windows 10 by default, have not been disabled using group policy, registry entries or various other workarounds – they have been entirely removed and deleted from the system, on an executable-level. This includes Windows Update, and any related services intended to re-patch the system via what is essentially a universal backdoor. Core applications, such as the included Edge web-browser, Windows Media Player, Cortana, as well as any appx applications, have also been successfully eliminated. The total size of removed files is about 2 GB.

⚠Warning :
-No automatic security updates, you have to manually update by reading their wiki

-No windows defender which is needed for controlled folder access (mitigation against ransomware encrypting your files). Badness enumeration including windows defender's is a scam. Better setup app locker and SRP with hard configurator for basic hardening. CFA is not needed if you did advanced hardening with WDAC. More info on @windowssec

-Butchers the exploit mitigations present in the system

-Comes with bloatware (onlyoffice, Thunderbird, Firefox, 7zip) by default

-No UWP apps can be installed with appxbundle. UWP apps are sandboxed much secure

-No Bitlocker support and windows sandbox support

-Their claim about disabled telemetry is not true. Microsoft docs says how to disable telemetry from group policies. Only possible in enterprise and education editions

AME is not recommended as a daily driver; decide yourself depending on your use case; it's a privacy theatre.

YouTube2PeerTube

YouTube2PeerTube is a bot written in Python3 that mirrors YouTube channels to PeerTube channels as videos are released in a YouTube channel.

It checks YouTube channels periodically, when new videos are found, it mirrors them with metadata to PeerTube corresponding peertube channels.

This tool supports multiple channels, and supports mirroring each YouTube channel to a user defined PeerTube channel and instance that can be different for each YouTube channel being mirrored.

This tool does not use YouTube APIs. Instead, it subscribes to channels via RSS. This is a primary feature, this tool will always avoid the YouTube API, and no features will be implemented that require the YouTube API.

If you need to archive a YouTube channel with lots of existing videos, this tool is not for you. This tool starts mirroring channels from the time they are added to the config and will not mirror all historical videos that exist in a YouTube channel.
