In an article published Wednesday, Politifact stated, “A documentary by Dinesh D’Souza, a far-right commentator, furthers the myth that something sinister occurred with mail ballots during the 2020 election. D’Souza told Fox News that ‘mules’ delivered 400,000 illegal votes. Experts say the evidence D’Souza points to is inherently flawed.”
“D’Souza’s argument ignores that in many states, it is legal to drop off a ballot on behalf of another voter, which is especially helpful for voters with disabilities or the elderly. Critics of this practice call it ‘ballot harvesting,’ while election administrators typically use other terms such as ‘ballot collection,'” the fact-checker reported.
D’Souza responded Friday, tweeting, “Paying mules to deliver ballots is illegal in every state. In Georgia you can give your ballot to a family member or caregiver to drop off. The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) sued the Justice Department after it ignored its Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests about an executive order directing federal agencies to promote “access to voting.”
In March 2021, Joe Biden issued an executive order directing the heads of all federal executive agencies to submit a strategic plan to his Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice detailing their efforts to increase voter registration and voting even though their agencies have no statutory authority to have anything to do with voting.
The order states that obstacles exist for many voters, including long lines, disabilities, “voter identification laws and limited opportunities to vote by mail,” limited access to language assistance, and being denied the “ability to vote privately and independently.”
It states, “Executive departments and agencies … should partner with State, local, Tribal, and territorial election officials to protect and promote the exercise of the right to vote, eliminate discrimination and other barriers to voting, and expand access to voter registration and accurate election information ...”
One section of the order urges “federal agencies to take over voter registrations by acting as requesting States’ designated voter registration agency,” the complaint states.
On July 30, 2021, the FGA requested copies of the strategic plans. Eight months, or 240 days later, it had received no documents, it said.
“FOIA requests are meant to provide Americans with transparency and reassurance that governing agencies using taxpayer dollars are acting thoughtfully, lawfully, and in the best interest of the American people,” Stewart Whitson, FGA’s legal director, said. “DOJ’s decision to stonewall our lawful request under FOIA raises grave concerns that the Biden administration may be hiding the full details of these plans from the public and Congress.
“With the mid-term elections mere months away, the American people have a right to know the full details of this unprecedented effort by the president before it is too late,” he added. “FGA will not rest until we get the American people the answers they deserve. If we cannot get those answers through FOIA requests, we will use the power of the courts instead.”
The lawsuit comes four months after several dozen members of Congress expressed alarm about Biden’s order.
It’s “nearly identical to a federal election takeover plan crafted by the radical left-leaning group known as Demos,” they argued.
U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL) said that in January, the Small Business Administration announced it was the first federal agency to apply to be a voter agency. Through its district offices, “small business owners and others will have the services they need to ensure their voices are heard at the ballot box and fair representation for their communities,” the SBA said.
In March, the USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service sent letters to state agencies encouraging them to provide local program operators with voter registration information. Many receiving food subsidies are low-income non-citizens and non-native English speakers.
Non-citizens can also apply for and receive valid driver’s licenses and state IDs. In most states, both driver’s licenses and ID cards are accepted proof of identification to vote. Also in most states, state and local authorities don’t cross check citizenship status with voter registration and identification, meaning there are few safeguards in place to prevent noncitizens who have driver’s licenses and IDs from registering to vote and voting.
Biden’s directive creates an opportunity for fraud on a massive scale and is “a backdoor plan for Biden to influence elections,” U.S. Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC) warned.

A Democrat County Supervisor in Buchanan County, Virginia has been indicted on 82 felony counts stemming from an alleged election fraud and corruption scheme following a 2-year state police investigation. Included in the charges filed against Trey Adkins, of the county’s Knox District, are 34 counts of false statements related to election fraud and 11 counts of absentee voting violations.
A grand jury handed down the indictments and the case will be prosecuted by the Commonwealth’s Attorney from nearby Russell County, Zack Stoots. According to the grand jury’s report, Adkins has relied on an illegal absentee vote harvesting scheme since he was first elected to public office in 2011, repeating the process in his 2015 and 2019 bids for re-election.
Investigations have shown that the scheme included hundreds of absentee ballots per election cycle and Adkins, with the help of his aunt, is said to have personally run the operation, showing up at the homes of voters himself with absentee applications and ballots to ensure he would have their vote. As Buchanan County is a small community, the margin of victory in Adkins’ election was only within a couple of hundred votes, giving his scheme all the more impact.

“A quick update on drop boxes. I have pushed to get rid of them all together, however we find ourselves with a one seat majority and an obstinate Paul Boyer. I am not satisfied with failure and having to use 2020 rules for the 2022 election. Therefore, I also have a plan B. I have created an invention and asked for a pilot program regarding a “smart” drop box.
This smart drop box does not tally your vote, it only logs in that your envelope has been received. Much like an ATM machine, there will be chain of custody and an inability to stuff a dropbox like people can now. It will have a camera like an ATM machine and it will limit one ballot per deposit.
We trust our cash and checks to an ATM machine. The machine with a camera, chain of custody, and the ability to deposit the cash into our own account and not someone else’s. If we can’t get rid of the boxes, then I demand a secure box to do so until we have enough Republicans to get rid of them all together. We cannot go back to 2020 rules.
I also will say that I am pressing for HB 2289 to be put on the board for a vote. Let’s see who is serious about this and who is not.”

Missouri Passes Legislation to Prevent Ballot Trafficking, Fortify Elections
Senator Bob Onder announced on Facebook that the new election legislation bans drop boxes, ballot harvesting, and Zuckerbucks, and mandates cyber security audits and voter photo ID. Onder said “the Missouri Senate has always been the problem” when it comes to election integrity. He expects the bill to pass in the House and head to the Governor’s desk to be signed into law.
