“The Arizona Senate is asking for documents from Katie Hobbs, Arizona’s Democratic secretary of state, related to the GOP-led chamber’s audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County.

Senate President Karen Fann sent a public records request for communications in which Hobbs, a critic of the audit, discussed the partisan review and relevant litigation. However, the rationale behind the demand is unclear.

‘I can’t disclose what we’re looking for at this time,’ Fann told Capitol Media Services.”

Ken spoke with James T. Harris again this morning to respond to Senate President Karen Fann’s statement yesterday and announce he will be stepping down as Senate Liaison: “I remain locked out of the audit and as such it’s really impossible for me to function as the liaison. Right now, I’m liaison in name-only… a LINO.”

Ken goes on to explain that he may still be part of scrutinizing the final results: “I’m stepping down today… with the offer and caveat to President Fann that I’m honored and appreciative of her statement yesterday that I will be a vital part of the draft and final reports — but I’ve got to have access to the source data.” I will help vet the report if access can be reinstated but “I won’t pretend to be a liaison when I’m not,” Ken clarifies.

DOJ Indicates it Might Sue States Returning to Pre-Pandemic Voting Regulations and Issues Warning About Post-Election Audits | Fox News

President Biden's Justice Department warned states on Wednesday that they could face legal action in rolling back COVID-era voting procedures.

"The department's enforcement policy does not consider a jurisdiction’s re-adoption of prior voting laws or procedures to be presumptively lawful…" reads a document released by the DOJ today titled, Justice Department Issues Guidance on Federal Statutes Regarding Voting Methods and Post-Election "Audits".

A DOJ press release summarizes: "The guidance document addresses efforts by some states to permanently adopt their COVID-19 pandemic voting modifications, and by other states to bar continued use of those practices, or to impose additional restrictions on voting by mail or early voting. In addition, this guidance document discusses federal statutes the department enforces related to voting by mail, absentee voting and voting in person."

Politico describes the seven-page Justice Department memo as “another warning aimed at states conducting or considering audits of ballots tallied in last year’s election, reminding election authorities that allowing ballots to be mishandled can violate federal law.”

The document states: “Jurisdictions have to be careful not to let those ballots be defaced or mutilated or lost or destroyed as part of an audit,” said a Justice Department official who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity. “This document puts down a marker that says the Justice Department is concerned about this.”

Senator Townsend acknowledges the possibility of legal action to address Maricopa County’s non-compliance and offers an alternative sample path. If Governor Ducey called a special session, the legislature could amend statute 41-1153, which requires a majority vote to enforce a subpoena. The proposed revision would make disregarding a subpoena an automatic misdemeanor (without requiring a vote), which would enable the legislative committee to issue a warrant for the withheld items. Townsend believes there is a chance of convincing Senators Boyer and Ugenti-Rita to vote yes on such an amendment.

Rep. Timothy Ramthun Discusses Forensic Election Audit in Wisconsin | TGP

Wisconsin State Representative Timothy Ramthun issued a press release on July 16th calling for a full forensic audit of the 2020 Election. Today, he joined The Gateway Pundit’s Hoft brothers to discuss the status.

Rep. Ramthun is working with former WI Supreme Court Justice Mike Gableman and Rep. Janel Brandtjen to put together a plan and define the elements of the audit. Rep. Brandtjen also issued a statement earlier this week calling for an Arizona-style forensic audit. Last night, the Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Dane County (the second-largest metropolitan area in Wisconsin) unanimously endorsed Brandtjen’s proposed audit, TGP reported.

In the interview, Ramthun also noted his strong interest in Jovan Pulitzer’s kinematic artifact detection technology and his respect for the work of Look Ahead America (who recently released a report identifying 157K illegal ballots in WI) and Seth Keshel who has estimated there were 139K excess votes for Biden in WI. Ramthun hopes to release a draft of the audit plan in the next week or two.

Michigan Sheriff Investigates Dominion Machines for Vote-Switching

Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf is digging into the county’s Dominion voting machines. The county clerk claims there were no issues but lawyers up anyway.

MLive reported:

Local clerks in Barry County are sharing harsh words about a private investigator who has been visiting them to inquire if votes could have been altered in the 2020 election, nearly nine months ago.

Rutland Township Clerk Robin Hawthorne told MLive on July 27 that a private investigator and a sheriff’s deputy arrived at the township office two weeks ago.

“They wanted to go through all the steps of how we handled the election program — not too many questions about the election itself, necessarily — more so the programming in the machines, the Dominion machines,” Hawthorne said.

“They’re trying to find out if the machines have the ability to switch votes,” Barry County Clerk Pamela Palmer told MLive. …“I thought to myself, ‘Over my dead body,’” Palmer said.

…Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf declined to comment when reached by phone on July 27, saying he had a conversation with the county prosecutor and is waiting to release information until they are both prepared to issue a joint release.
