Here's a framework worth applying to every trade you consider today.
Before you enter, ask three questions in this order.π¨
First. Is the higher timeframe structure in my favour? Trend, momentum, major levels all pointing in the same direction as my trade.
Second. Is there a clear trigger? A rejection candle, a break and retest, a shift in lower timeframe momentum. Not just a level. A signal at the level.
Third. Is the risk worth it? If my stop is hit, how much do I lose? Is my target realistic given the structure ahead?
If all three answers are yes, take the trade with full conviction.
If any one of them is unclear, wait. The setup isn't ready.
Most losing trades fail at question two or three. The level was right but there was no trigger. Or the target was unrealistic because a major zone was sitting in the way.
Three questions. Every time.
