Switzerland is set to introduce $20 suicide capsules for citizens unable to afford basic necessities. The Sarco capsule, which causes death by hypoxia using nitrogen, will be available for people with various illnesses, mental, or social issues to end their lives. The device, used for the first time in Switzerland, requires the individual to press a button to initiate the process. Florian Willet, CEO of The Last Resort, noted there is a waiting list for the capsule, and its use may begin soon. Inventor Philip Nitschke explained that after pressing the button, the oxygen level drops drastically, causing unconsciousness and death within minutes.
